If the recession eventuates it will be totally down to trump, not wishful thinking on the part of democrats.
Claiming credit for a healthy, recovering economy can only last so long while you're busy dismantling and undermining all the things that made it healthy in the first place.
And what's with the americancentric attitude "our economy". If your economy goes into recession then the world goes into recession. If you cough then the world catches the cold. Comes with being leader of the free world.

Republicans are hoping for a recession, being the most likely way to push Trump aside.
