2013 Poem a week comment thread

Angeline's is something to savor, as well!

I love the tedium (bet you don't often get that compliment) of billboards and traffic that leads to the quiet hope for refuge.

Very nice.

As for Tzara's thinly-veiled threat, well, who among us hasn't regretted an avatar?

Excellently creepy!

Did you just damn me with faint praise? :D

Thank you. I think my poem needs a good cut and style but I like the ending.

Tzara can write very dommy poems. Did you see our Gilbert and Sullivan parodies of late? He twisted my wrist!

Thanks! Did you listen to the song that is linked in the title? That's what I was listening to when I wrote it. It's a beautiful song.

:rose:
read it first without the music, then again as the music played - just just wonderfully smoooooooooth - kind of reminds me of that song 'love letters straight from your heart'

Read Tess's number 50 just posted. It is both cool and hot!
tess' title makes me smile - so very apt, especially him not even needing to turn around to check if her bottom's as he 'himagines' it to be.

Loved it! there was a line I wanted to quote but it's too late.

Thank you all, it came about after a convo about whether females are as prone to undressing males as the reverse.......

I love Darn that Dream too, they just don't write lyrics like that anymore.

The thought by both genders was, as in interest in porn, it is a male's activity more so than feminine. :) What say you? Gents? Ladies?
i have been known to on rare occasions, but stripping down the male mind is far more érotique *wiggles eyebrows*

Tzara's latest offering is absolutely beautiful--a really spare and lovely piece of writing. We are finishing the year out with a bang, folks, not a whimper!

dexters dream
it's as if you closed your eyes and picked out the saxophone notes and found the words that convey the liquid smooth sounds,

satin slipping clouds to dance in
honey beams bide the breeze to
warm the trees and sway the limbs

the mote floating through the air
honey drizzling
head rocking side to side enjoying it all
loved it, never listened to jazz before

Thanks Tods. Your comment means a lot because that's what I was trying to do--get the feel of the music in the words. I've changed it a bit since I wrote it and may fiddle with it a bit more. As for that song, it is just lovely to me. Don't get me started on jazz, that's dangerous. :D

don't you just love the hot-house nature of this forum that brings on burgeoning talent so swiftly? concentrated poet-feed here.

It's yours to use in good health. Oyvey. :D

...just seemed a departure from the norm, use it where? my imagination leaves nothing to guess except for wondering if your Avatar were to be tipped over would it make a tripod of meditation or broken concentration.

It is what keeps me coming back. Things will slow for a while and then it's like a renaissance of poetry and everyone is picking up on each others' ideas and tricks. I have never seen it happen in quite the same way elsewhere online.
