How to Spot a Real World Friend on Lit

i started a story years ago based on a similar premise before losing interest in how it was unfolding.

if it happened in reality though the dead giveaways would be certain pet phrases and/or similar politics and/or similar interests. i think it would be sufficiently surprising as to entail the sending of PMs--which depending upon why the characters are on lit could be very interesting indeed.

but actually encountering someone, no, haven't had that experience.

I wrote a story once that included a detailed description of a house where swinger parties were held. I was immediately contacted by someone who recognized the house from its description. I guess I was a little too descriptive.

A frightening thought just went through my mind. What if that was actually my sister in one of those SRP with me! Stomach turning to be sure, I pray this never occurs!

My big fear is one of my kid's teachers recognizing me from here... "Oh, yes, I've seen you AND your tits on Literotica!". *stone dead*

My older sister is on here somewhere, but we've agreed not to know who the other is. So far, I've never encountered her that I'm aware, and I think I'd know since the way we talk is rather similar.

I saw my younger sister on a Femdom website several years ago--she was wearing a mask, and it wasn't a recent pic, but I knew it was her. Tats never lie. . . I never mentioned it. I was a little proud actually. lol

It's never happened but I'd love it if it did. I've had this fantasy of meeting someone's wife at some sort of innocent vanilla social function and somehow getting to talk and then finding out that we both are on Literotica and Fetlife and then start realizing that we recognized each other's screen names. Perhaps it would progress from there. Not that I think on it even more, it might be fodder for a good story to post. ;)

Ooops!

I would transfer them. Best school in the state... sorry kids your school of choice now. My son's urologist is a nudist and comes into the spa I frequent for Brazilians, always makes me blush! Doesn't help he's good looking!

Those secrets only make the sister bond stronger. Cute.

Aphroditiac: If that's a picture of you, you look a lot like a parent from my kid's school. Seriously. Next time I'm out at a school function beneath the pale moonlight I'm going to have a better look. The next time you catch a fellow student's father's eyes looking at you, it could be me.

I got talking to a woman on here a few years ago that was our companys government labour safety inspector..it was interesting to say the least;)

carefull who you approach...she is a thousand miles away from you

Hi there...I recognize you from a porn website....sssslaaap

Have any of you ever discovered that someone on Lit was a person or couple you knew, and most importantly had known previous to Lit, from outside Lit? Has anyone honestly found a coworker, neighbor, classmate, etc. on Lit? If so, how did you figure out or verify what you suspected?

Asking as research for a possible story. Thanks for your indulgence.

No, I'm the only one bored and tired enough to come here.

Dear IB:

I love your story idea!! I've never ran into anyone I've known or who knows me but the fact that the possibility exists is deliciously dangerous.

May I offer a suggestion as to how your two acquaintances "meet?"

She posts some pictures of herself in her living room or a common area of her house. He, having been to her home socially, instantly recognizes the sofa, the pictures on the wall, the view out of the window...you get the idea.

He PMs her and the games begin.

Please PM me when your story is uploaded, whether or not you use my suggestion.

Hugs,
Kay

My bartender is here somewhere. Mostly for the stories but he'll read my threads. *Shrug*

And if it was her....and she made the connection and showed up to confront you.....and then she said "Oh, you do want me! I knew it!"

and there you would have a story written many times over here.

Now to write a unique one, when your fellow cub confronts you she....slaps you in the mouth and says "I'm telling mom!" that would be different for here.

It hasn't happened, but I know of at least two friends who frequent or have frequented Lit -- the first friend who mentioned it to me years ago and a friend I've met since joining mentioned Lit in conversation one day. I don't know if she just reads the stories or if she comes to the boards.

As SpecialKay said, it could be recognizing a place in a person's house. I think tattoos could also be a dead giveaway. If someone had a particular fetish/interest, an item of clothing could be a tipoff. Years ago, there was a high heel thread (I'm back to Lit for the first time in forever, so it might still exist) and I posted a few pics there. If it were someone who knew me well enough in my regular life, they would know my shoes, especially if those shoes were on my feet in my bed.

I have 2 very good friends on here, didn't even know and I casually mentioned it and we were like hey you too?! Don't know their ID names though. They know mine.. lol!

I did! I figured out a friend of mine occasionally posts here; it was something she said that is very unique to Montreal and then she mentioned something else, and it could have been only her (yes, I'm being deliberately vague). I mentioned Lit, she blushed, then revealed that I am here as well, so it makes for some interesting dinner conversation during our margarita nights. ;) :D

I sometimes have to be cautious not to use the offline-me's certain expressions, as they are quite distinctive. But honestly, I don't think I'd care if anyone found out.

But I think I'd be kinda disturbed if any of my students found out if I was here, now that I think of it...

LOL, well not exactly--but a friend from IRL is the reason I discovered and joined Literotca originally.

A guy I went to college with sent me an email explaining that he'd always been attracted to me, and he was writing this story for some erotica website, and he wanted the character in the story to look like me. He asked if I'd post this bunch of facebook pictures of me, to serve as "illustrations," or so the readers of his story would at least know who to imagine.

I was honestly suuper flattered and totally obliged him--joined, posted some pics of me, and ended up getting a lot of positive feedback. I really enjoyed Lit's open and honest environment, and I've been posting for a few years now.
