Trump Told Lies, Today

(Does Trump ever take the day off, and not tell lies ?)

"He believes that reality itself can be denied and that big lies can sow enough confusion to keep the truth from taking hold."

Trump’s Sunday tweets included the lies that have become a standard part of his attacks on the special counsel investigation

In a tweet on Sunday morning, Trump lied.

"...literally did not happen."

The once-secret session provides a fascinating look at Trump’s capacity to feign charm and receptiveness to criticism in private and then return to a war footing not long after.

July 29, 2018

Trump violated their off-the-record agreement by not only tweeting about the meeting more than a week later, but also mis-characterizing what they talked about.

"...what Trump ultimately reconsidered instead, nine days later, was why he hadn’t taken advantage of his meeting with “the enemy” sooner."

"Only negative stories from the fakers back there,” (Orange tRump) declared.

With each denunciation, the crowd jeered and screamed at the press in the holding pen.

The inflammatory performance came just hours after White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to distance herself from Trump’s previous assertions that the media is the “enemy” of the American people. Pressed during a White House briefing on the issue, Sanders said Trump “has made his position known.”

Now, we know why Sarah Huckabee Sanders stubbornly refused to cave in to sanity. She gave Orange tRump what he wanted.

Well, to be fair to whoever is White House spokesperson, they aren't there to give their own views. They are, in fact, the spokesperson for the White House and, ultimately, the president. When they are at the podium in a White House briefing, they aren't there to give their own views on anything.

But President Obama was talking about Trump’s claim that he’s going to “bring back jobs,” and Obama didn’t even refer to Trump by name.

Original quote

When somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I’m not gonna advertise for, that he’s gonna bring all these jobs back. Well, how exactly are you gonna do that, what are you gonna do? There’s no answer to it — he just says, I’m gonna, I’m gonna negotiate a better deal. How exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is … he doesn’t have an answer.

Trump got it wrong — way wrong — when he said it hasn't happened in a century.

In the last 70 years, it's happened in at least 62 quarters, most recently in 2006.

tRump- Bloviate, Boast, and Bullshit

Trump likes to have a friendly audience when he tells his lies. He doesn't like for fact-checkers to be in the room when he's lying.

At his one and only press conference, Trump claimed that he "inherited a mess" from President Obama.

This, of course, was a huge lie.

"As you know, our administration inherited many problems across government and across the economy," he told the assembled reporters. "To be honest, I inherited a mess. It's a mess. At home and abroad, a mess”

Okay, let’s take a look at the “mess” that Donald Trump inherited from Barack Obama.

When Donald Trump was sworn into office, he inherited a nation where the unemployment rate was down to 4.7 percent.

In addition to inheriting a nation with a low unemployment rate, Trump also inherited a nation where gas prices are down, real estate values are up, veteran homelessness has been cut in half and the number of American living in poverty is down. We’ve had seventy-five consecutive months of job growth; rising stock prices, low inflation and a record spike in middle-class incomes.

And all of these economic advances were made while reducing the federal deficit from 9.8 percent of GDP in 2009 to 3.2 percent in 2016.

Okay, so that’s the “mess” that Donald inherited at home. Let’s take a look at the “mess” he inherited abroad.

President Obama used diplomacy, new policies and responsible leadership and reversed the sharp decline in world opinion toward the U.S. that was created during the Bush years. Favorable opinion toward the United States rose during Obama’s first term in ten of fifteen countries surveyed by the Pew Global Attitudes Project, with an average increase of 26 percent, and have stayed high ever since.

President Obama had initiated the biannual Nuclear Security Summit to address the global threat posed by nuclear terrorism and advance a common approach to strengthening nuclear security. As a result, weapons-usable highly enriched uranium has been removed from sixteen countries. Also, President Obama forced an agreement on Syrian leader Bashar Assad, which forced Assad to destroy Syria’s stockpile of chemical weapons. In 2016, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons confirmed the destruction of thousands of tons of mustard gas and other toxic chemicals.

Oh, and lest I forget, President Obama located the elusive terrorist mastermind, Osama bin laden, sent a Special Forces team to attack his secret compound in Pakistan, and the raid was a great success. Osama bin Laden was killed and a treasure trove of al-Qaeda documents was obtained by the U.S. government in the raid.

So, that’s the “mess” that Donald Trump inherited abroad.

John Tyler inherited a mess when he was sworn into office back in 1841. Franklin D Roosevelt inherited a mess when he was sworn into office back in 1933. Barack Obama inherited a mess when he was sworn into office back in 2009!

However, Donald Trump inherited a nation with a growing economy, low inflation, low unemployment and international respect!

Men like Tyler, Roosevelt and Obama would have been THRILLED to inherit the kind of “mess” that Trump inherited!

Trump made the unusual claim on Sept. 5 during an interview with the Daily Caller

October 23, 2018

After BuzzFeed News made a records request for any such pictures with the FBI last month, we finally got an answer Tuesday: The FBI said they had no pictures of Mueller and Comey embracing each other. None.

“Based on the information you provided, we conducted a search of the locations or entities where records responsive to your request would reasonably be found,” an FBI official wrote. “We were unable to locate records responsive to your request. Therefore, your request is being administratively closed.”

Finland’s president, Sauli Niinistö, emphasized that he had said no such thing to Trump. Niinistö told the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat that he did speak with Trump about wildfires while the two were in Paris to observe Armistice Day, but Trump must have misunderstood what he said.

“I told him that Finland is a land covered by forests, but we also have a good control system and network,” Niinistö told the newspaper. Asked by a reporter about Trump’s raking comment, the Finnish president laughed.

Analysis | President Trump’s crowd-size estimates: Increasingly unbelievable

November 19, 2018

Trump claimed 50,000 people were outside a rally in Houston because they couldn’t get in, but the city’s police chief said the number was much lower: 3,000. In Cleveland, Trump claimed “thousands” of people were outside because the venue was packed. But Twitter users at the event posted evidence that Trump didn’t fill the venue and that only a handful of people were milling around in the parking lot.

In Tampa, Trump claimed thousands of people who couldn’t get in were watching outside on a “tremendous movie screen” — that didn’t exist.
(read article-reseacher did a thorough search)

These claims deserve Four Pinocchios. Or, if you prefer to use Trump’s math, “thousands and thousands” of Pinocchios.
