Uh, when I was in grade school, I looked like Cartman, but after the summer before 7th grade, they changes I underwent had everyone calling me beanpole...
Hell, a lot of the kids from grade school didn't recognize me in Junior High school!
It was like a whole new me!

that happened to my step-nephew. at 10 he had a 38 inch waist. now he's 20 odd he's 6'4 and like skeletor. |

I got a DD rack over the summer between year 7 and 8. It was fun coming back from the holidays with those!

Guys are so lucky like that. If you are a chunky boy at puberty, then there's a good chance you'll thin out. If you're a fat girl, then the hormones set the number of fat cells you have and it's next to impossible to shift the weight. That was me. I was 80kg at 12. I was a chunky monkey almost at birth (I tripled my birth weight in the about two months). I have visited thin. I am cool with it now, I just wish people would cease to see my as only fat. I have other obnoxious qualities that need insults too.

I was pretty fat (by 1970s standards, not 2000 standards) as a kid, right up until I left home and then pregnancy really fucked my metabolism and now, unless I literally do no physical exercise AND eat loads and loads of food, my weight stays the same. if I up my exercise I have to hugely increase calorie intake (usually via beer ) or I get even scrawnier. |

That's the theory I was given, but I think peoples bodies often react in highly individual ways. I have a friend who has been trying to gain weight for ages and can't. She eats everything; I mean face in the trough, constant chowing. I have a lap band. I can barely eat. I still gain weight. It's what my body does best. I felt awful when I was thinner, just sick all the time.

yeah. I used to eat hardly anything as a kid, and my mum was super health conscious as well so we had a good diet, plus I used to ride and had to walk everywhere. by rights I should have been 6 or7 stone, not 10.
I still want a big arse though.  |

We never ate junk for either. We had takeaways like twice a year. I was fifteen before I tried MacDonalds (hated it then, hate in now. If I had the money though, I think I could kill myself with KFC). Still don't eat takeaways. There are somethings we just gotta live with and a crap metabolism is one.
I feel your arse envy. I too am a flat butted white girl. I am just all gut. I have a friend who is the same size as me and is all arse (flat stomach at 300lb, it's a look). We always joke if you put my gut on her butt, we'd have one much larger, but normally proportioned woman!
