Maelyn quickly ran up the stairs to her apartment. She could hear her phone ringing from the entire way at the bottom, and was hoping for the chance that she may catch it. Maelyn was dead sprinting her way up the stairs, her long brown hair, swishing behind her. As she turned her way off the last staircase and ran down the hallway to her apartment, she stopped dead in her tracks. Standing in the doorway was one of the most entrancing people, she'd ever seen. It was like seeing a life-sized porcelain doll.Maelyn cleared her throat.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

Lucian turned his gaze to meet the dark-haired woman's. His eyes immediately fixated on her green orbs. He smiled disarmingly at her.

"Actually, yes there is..." His voice was low, almost a sensual growl as he spoke.

"I saw you walking in your apartment yesterday." He started. "I'm quite new here and just wanted to meet my neighbors. I talked to a few people today but they all seemed unfriendly. Then I saw you." He smiled, showing his pearly white teeth. He was careful to conceal his eyeteeth.

"You seem like a nice girl. Do you want to get a cup of coffee?" He ran his hand against the polished wood.

"My treat."

Maelyn looked down at her watch. It was a quarter after 11, too late to get coffee. And she didn't eve know this stranger.

"Actually, it's kind of late. I have work in the morning."

She slowly slipped around him, and unlocked the door.

"I hope the other neighbors are friendly to you."

She flashed a smile, and slowly began to close the door.

"Wait." He stopped the closing door with one hand, his eyebrow raised at her. "It's not late. Not really. I actually just woke up." Lucian licked his lengthening eyeteeth.

"And I'm hungry." He stepped forward a little. He attacked.

When he moved, he moved quickly, almost faster than the human eye could see. One second, he was outside her door, the next he was in her apartment and the door was closed. He watched as her eyes widened and her mouth opened for a scream.

Lucian reacted quickly, placing a hand around her throat and cut off her air supply. The other hand held her as he pressed her against the wall. He leaned down to sniff her delicious scent, the smell of fear practically oozed off her.

"You smell good..." He hissed. "Good enough to eat." The hand holding her throat tilted her head to the side, exposing her lily-white neck.

"I'll bet you're delicious..." Lucian struck, burying his teeth into her neck.

As he pushed open the door, Maelyn was to shocked to even make a noise. He moved at lightening speed. No one can move like that. When she realized he was coming at her, she opened her mouth to let out a scream, and was quickly silenced. As his teeth clamped down on her neck, the only noise she could manage was a small moan of pain. She couldn't talk. Couldn't scream. All she could do was stand their helpless. She rested her hands on his and as it fully hit her, her nails dug into him. She slowly felt herself slipping into unconsciousness. Her back against the wall,she began to slide down it.

Lucian supported her body, cradling her frail form in his arms, as they slid to the ground together. Her blood tasted like rich, red wine in his mouth and burned on the way down like the finest liquor. It made its way down his pallet before settling in his stomach and warmed his entire body. His previous pale texture disappeared as a healthy pink glow wafted from his vibrant features.

The vampire's eyes flashed a bright red before settling back into a rich reddish brown. With every small sip, he felt more and more of her life energy leaving her body and entering his. He finally retreated from her and looked at her limp, pale form. The girl was now wavering on the edge of life and death. All she need was a little push in either direction.

Lucian made a quick decision and pressed his wrist against her mouth, letting a small trickle from his cut vein to drip blood into her mouth. He had decided to dive directly into the edge and pushed her into the unknown third door. The door that led to immortality.

After a long enough while, he yanked his wrist from her seeking mouth and smiled down at her.

"Awake, maiden. And enjoy your new life. Or rather, unlife." He chuckled.

Maelyn's eyes slowly fluttered open. She looked around the apartment until her eyes rested on Lucian's lone figure. She smiled slightly, a little oblivous to what had just happened. She sat up slowly.

"What happen...."

She felt the warm blood on her lips. She wiped her hand across her mouth, only to see that she also had it on her hand. She quickly stood up in anger.

"What the hell did you do?"

She pushed Lucian repeatedly and struck him with blows that she knew had no effect whatsoever. Her anger was bubbling up inside of her and she needed a way to release it.

"You sick, filthy lowlife. What did you do to me? What kind of twisted mind do you have?"

She shoved him one more time, this time flinging him into the wall as her strength slowly began to develop. With the last push, she turned on her heal and walked towards the bathroom.

Lucian grinned at first as her blows did nothing but pat dust from his clothes. He was caught off guard when her last push sent him flying into the wall.

She's not supposed to be this strong yet... He snarled, his long eyeteeth fully extended in his anger.

The elder vampire lunged forward and wrapped his arms around her smaller frame. He grasped bother her hands and twisted them behind her back, holding bother her hands in his larger one. His other arm wrapped around her and started to slowly squeeze her frail body.

The breath was squeezed out of her body and she gasped for air. Lucian grinned to himself. She was going to be a strong vampire, a very strong vampire. But there was no way in all seven levels of Hell that she could contest him. He had seen Rome burn to the ground and vampires only grow stronger with age.

"First thing you need to learn is to show me some respect." He growled in her ear, his arms tightening even more around her.

"One thing I know is that right now, you're very hungry." To affirm that fact, a shudder ran through her body. Lucian gently nipped at her earlobe. "You need to feed. And I can show you how."

Maelyn struggled against him. The fact of not being able to breathe was excruciating. She elbowed him in the ribs which left him gasping.

"I don't need to feed. I'm not you."

She elbowed him again and he let her go.

" I don't know what the hell you think you're doing. But I'd appreciate it if you left."

She walked into the bathroom and slammed the door and then sank down onto the floor. This is exactly why she never talked to people she didn't know. She ran along her neck in frustration and felt the marks from the bite. She growled in anger and kicked out at the sink, which buckled in half. Water flying everywhere, Maelyn just sat there in anger.

Lucian grunted when her elbow made contact with his side enough times to make him let her go. He blinked in surprise when she slammed the door in his face. The sound of destruction behind the closed door caused a spike of curiosity to well up in him. He squashed it quickly with indignant anger.

"You'll come to me, soon enough. You'll become hungry. A hunger that you can't satisfy with any other means than the one I just proposed. Then you'll come crying to me. You'll see!" Lucian stalked out of her apartment and slammed the door shut behind him. A crack ran along the middle of her door at the force.

"Stupid bitch... I should have killed her." Lucian contemplated going back there to finish what he had started but thought better of it.

She'll come to me, sooner if not later... With a self-satisfied smirk he walked to the apartment in front of hers and opened it with his new key. He stepped into his new apartment and sat in an overstuffed lazy-boy and waited.

Maelyn walked out of the bathroom after she heard Lucian leave. She looked at the destruction she had caused in her own apartment and she only got angrier. She slammed a vase against the wall, then walked out of the apartment. She looked over to see the crack he had put in the wall. She rolled her eyes and began walking down the hall when she saw an open door. Curious, she looked in….and saw Lucian sitting there.
“You have to be kidding me!! You got an apartment right beside me? What the hell are you, a stalker? Are you fantasizing about me or something because seriously you’re not my type. Get over yourself buddy.”
She walked out of his apartment, slamming the door behind her. This caused a crack to form along the door frame, identical to the one on her door. She walked down the stairs and into the late night air. She breathed in deeply, and all she smelled was blood.

Lucian shook his head with barely suppressed anger.

"You sure have a high opinion of yourself." He yelled after her. Then his eyes settled on the crack in his door frame.

"Oh come on! I just moved into this apartment!" He growled in exasperation at her antics. His acute hearing picked up her breaths and the shudder that followed it. The sound of hunger. He smirked as he just waited for her urge to become overwhelming.

Just then, one of Maelyn's neighbors walked outside carrying a large white trash bag. The petite Asian girl waved at her as a bright smile flashed at the confused girl.

"Hey, Maelyn! How's it hanging?" Trisha, the Chinese girl, tried. Then she broke into a fit of giggles. "Does that work?"

Maelyn turned slowly, sniffing out the girl. When her eyes locked on her, her eyes flashed. She smiled seductively at Trisha. She walked over, trailing her fingers along the girls shoulder.

“Mmm…you smell good. New perfume? You smell good enough to eat.”

She laughed out loud. Trisha looked at her with a blank stare.Maelyn dug her teeth into the side of Trisha’s neck. Trisha began to fight back, tearing Maelyn’s shirt in the process. Maelyn felt nothing, not the punches the girl inflicted, not the scratches. She looked at the girl.

“Why so feisty, hun?”

She choked the girl up against the wall, until she felt her breathing slow to barely nothing. She bit her neck again and continued to suck.

The smell of blood assaulted his nostrils. Lucian shot to his feet immediately as he heard the struggles of a female.

"What does she think she's doing?" He growled as he stalked out to watch. The scene that met him caused his cock to twitch.

The dark-haired beauty had a petite Asian girl pressed up against a wall as she fed off her. Lucian felt himself drawn to the scene, by the smell of blood in the air as well as aroused female flesh. He glanced over at Maelyn as she hungrily sucked at the other girl's pale neck.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. What a shame..." He shook his head in disapproval.

"You should never be so forward with your actions? What if someone else saw you, huh?" Lucian came up closer and licked the other side of the Chinese girl's lily-white throat. His teeth elongated and he sunk his canines into that vulnerable flesh underneath her jaw and collarbone.

Maelyn pushed him back and continued feeding. When she was done, she backed away and wiped her mouth.

"Are you happy now?"

She crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"So what do i do now?

She sniffed the air as two guys walked by. They blatantly stared at her torn shirt. She hissed at them and they jerked away, continuing down the hall.She turned back to Lucian with a huge grin.

"So is this what you were fantasizing about, perv? Me like this?"

Lucian didn't resist as she hounded her kill. She was the one who did it after all.

"Actually, yes..." He smiled at her rhetorical question. "What do you do now? You have to get rid of the body." He pointed towards the dead girl.

He smelled the two men before she did and he grinned to himself awaiting her violent outburst. She wasn't one to disappoint as she hissed at the two strangers. Her grin was offsetting and a little... strange.

"Fantasize? I barely even know you." Lucian scoffed. "I really didn't lie about all of this being a chance encounter." A drop of ruby red blood dripped from her teeth to her bottom lip.

In one fluid motion, he had his hands cupping her face as he licked the red liquor from her lips.

"Delicious..." He hissed. "Especially from you."

Maelyn pulled back in shock, an instinctive move. Though she throughly enjoyed it. When he was finished she looked up at him.
"You don't fantasize, but you lick random girls?"
She raised an eyebrow. She then looked down at the body. She really didn't feel like getting rid of it,too much work. She kicked the girl to make sure she was dead and then headed back up the stairs. She detoured into Lucian's apartment and curled up in the big comfortable chair.

Lucian pointed at her lip and then back at his.

"It was the blood." He responded lamely. His footsteps were silent as he followed the girl up to his apartment.

The vampire leaned in the doorway and looked at her form in his favorite chair.

"Make yourself at home." His sarcastic tone was slightly annoying.

Lucian pulled up another chair and placed it in front of Maelyn's curled up form.

"You look like a cat." He comment. "A deliciously beautiful cat... after it caught a bird."

Maelyn opened one eye to look at him. She watched him, watch her for a couple minutes.

"What did you mean when you said it was delicious, especially from me?"

She straigtened out her legs, and looked at him full on. Even though she had just killed,she was still extremely hungry. She ignored the pangs of hunger though. She was really curious about what Lucian had to say.

The beautiful rave-haired woman opened one eye lazily. Her full lips parted and her tongue moved in her mouth sensuously.

"What did you mean when you said it was delicious, especially from me?" Maelyn asked him as straightened her legs and looked him directly in the eye.

Maelyn had been an attractive girl as a human, and this new emerging side was sexier yet. The very essence of a vampire is magnification. Every single ability, every single emotion is magnified by tens of hundreds of times.

So all of her attributes were more than doubled. Every single movement, emotion was sensual. Lucian felt himself shuddering in anticipation at how this new vampire was to develop.

"I'm not going to lie to you, Maelyn. You are an extremely attractive woman. And you will only get better with age as a vampire." He stood up fluidly, as if someone had just poured water out of a bottle.

Lucian extended a hand towards her. He raised a brow.

"I know you're hungry. It's always hard the first few hours as a vampire. Your body needs a lot of blood now as your body adjusts to the vampire essence." His elongated teeth flashed in a temptation that sent memories of blood through her mind.

"Come with me." He spoke lowly, barely a rasp.

"Tonight we hunt. And feed." The last word was almost a growl.

Ooc: I’m changing my girls name to Kelsey because I have that name in a couple other threads and it’s less confusing this way.

Kelsey felt a low growl escape her throat. She could tell that he saw the hunger in her eyes. Maybe it was just more than normal hunger as well, maybe also a sexual hunger. But Kelsey didn’t know the difference at this point. She looked down at her clothes and then up at him.

“Maybe I should change before we leave.”

She walked over to her apartment and changed into tight black jeans and a red corset type shirt. She smiled to herself and walked back over to his apartment. She laughed when she saw the look of surprise on his face.

“What? It’s comfortable, not torn, and sexy all at once. And now..are you ready to go?”

She took his hand and they headed out for a night of feeding….

Lucian nodded at her when she came back only to stiffen at her manner of dress. Her ensemble was extremely sexy but yet oddly functional.

He raised his eyebrows at the clothing choices but he kept his mouth shut. Her hand had a cooler feel to it than before. She was transitioning beautifully through her metamorphisis.

"Yes, let's go." His front door opened as the two stepped into the cool night air, closing the door behind them. One powerful push and the pair sailed of into the night, jumping from shadow to shadow like the wraiths they were.

Lucian held a hand out in warning at a small neighborhood gang. He pointed them out t his new companion. He went from kid to kid, listing their numerous offenses. Most of them had been charged with accounts of rape and armed burglary.

"You lure them to you. When they've got you surrounded, I'll attack. Then we shall join arm in arm in glorious slaughter." He drew her in and kissed her brow, using all of his will to avoid her enticing lips.

"Go now, Kelsy." The elder vampire rocked back on his heels, fully intending to watch the show.

Kelsey smiled at him. She could tell he was holding back. God, how she wanted him to kiss her. Yet she was surprised that she was even thinking this way. This man had basically barged into her life, ruined it, and now she wanted him? Whatever, she thought, it’s time to feed. Kelsey slowly swaggered out of the shadows. Silently thanking herself for her choice of dress. It would make this job that much easier. She made sure to emphasize it as much as possible.

“Boys? Can I bother you for a tiny little second?

She smiled sheepishly, pretending to be lost.

“Have you seen a guy about this tall,” she pretended to show off his height, “ reddish brown eyes, brown hair, kind of muscular? I think he just came this way….I’m kind of lost and I don’t know what to do…”

he started sniffling and put her face in her hands. She felt them walking closer and closer. They were so sure that they had a helpless female on their hands that they could ravage and assault. They all started laughing as they all hovered closer and closer.

Lucian watched as she swaggered out towards the young men, seeming to the rest of the world as if she were a helpless little thing. Oh how naive those boys were... If only they knew. If only they knew before-hand the dangerous creature she had now become, that she could be one with the shadows at a fleeting thought, and that their worst nightmares couldn't dream up the horror that were her teeth and claws.

Lucian watched still as one of them grabbed her and roughly shoved her to the ground. He still didn't move a single undead muscle when one of them pulled knife on her, threatening her with the harmless metal blade.

Only when, one by one, the men pulled their cocks out did he attack. His legs tensed mightily as he launched himself forward. The rock that had been supporting his weight cracked underneath his feet as it was forced to withstand so much power, sending the vampire fifty feet in the air.

As quickly as he came up, Lucian came down, directly onto the one holding the knife. The man's body crumpled inwards with a sickening crunch. Before the last bone in his body snapped, Lucian was already moving, slicing two of the men's necks with his razor sharp claws.

The nearly decapitated men grasped at their throats before their hands were ripped away, only to be replaced by his hungry mouth. The elder vampire sucked greedily at their throats until all their life-force was ripped from their young bodies. The bodies fell lifelessly to the ground.

Kelsey had yet to move, the men surrounding her had eyes wide in horror as they looked at him and then at her. A hint of fang showed in Kelsey's sweet mouth as she attacked.
