Well the Cats belly is happy today.
The wife and I went to the Mediterranean place we found yesterday.
We walked through the door and were immediatly greeted by some good smells from the kitchen. We found a table and sat down.
Looking over the menu was a waste. We had already picked out what we wanted.
Now let me say this right off the bat. The F.D.A. needs to put a warning on the door. Something akin to "All foods served in here are highly addictive".
We started out with a bowl of Humus served with toasted Pita. Alongside that was placed a plate with five Stuffed Grape Leaves with a spiced Yogurt Dipping Sauce. Heaven.
Then our main dishes were served. The wife had ordered the Gyro and I had the Shawarma.
The meat in both of these was perfectly spiced, tender and juicy. The Pita was again toasted. The Tzatziki was a traditional one with a lot of Garlic and just a hint of Mint mixed in. Perfection. The Tahini, well some people don't like Tahini but I do. The flavor of toasted Sesame came through nicely.
Needless to say we will be back there again, soon.
As for dinner tonight, once again we had one of my favorites. Country Fried Steak covered nicely with Sausage Gravy.
My belly is happy.
