The Obama's Were Too Busy To Travel To Germany And Celebrate The 20 Year Anniversary Of The Fall Of The Berlin Wall
Yet Michelle Made Sure She Had Time To Celebrate The Sesame Street 40th . .
It's all about priorities . . .
NY Daily News - After four decades, "Sesame Street" is the kind of show where even Michelle Obama follows the Muppets playbook. Tomorrow morning, as the most iconic show in kids' TV history celebrates 40 years of muppetry and good clean fun, the First Lady drops in to promote vegetables.
Specifically, she explains to four young children that if they put seeds into the ground and water them, plants will sprout up that will produce tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and carrots.
During this brief segment, Big Bird also drops by and observes that he and Mrs. Obama are both tall.
Things don't get much more analytic or sentimental than that on an episode where the First Lady shares the billing with a spotlight on the letter "H" and a song about counting to 40 by 10s.
"Sesame Street" has always known how to keep its eye on the mission, which is one of the reasons Michelle Obama is a perfect 40th-anniversary guest.
