i am so excited!!!
i have one. i actually have one.
a picture of me as a child.
me and my mother.
i thought every picture of me had been lost to the flames when mother was lost to insanity.
J had to track down an old family friend and drive to the other side of the country for this picture.
it's brought back so many memories...my mother used to wear makeup and had so many un-pc fur coats.
i've cropped this but my sisters are in this picture too. i think i must've been around 6y/o when this picture was taken.
and i'm smiling.

i have her cheek bones.
those are from her father's side of the family, the aristocrats, i never met any of them...they were angry that he'd married low.
on her mother's side they're all round & ruddy. unfortunately i've met them a lot. i agree... he did indeed marry low.
other than that i'm more like my father. definitely irish colouring.

I can't imagine what it must be like to not have pics of me as a kid. My Grandad was an amateur photographer so we've got lots. It'd be horrid not to have those little memory joggers around. |
