You might find the following advice useful.

Don't laugh at our AVs, or we will HAVE to kick your ass.
We're blunt. Accept it. Doing otherwise can lead to an ass kicking.
Most of us are more literate than you. We are also better educated and generally a lot nicer than you. Don't refer to us as a bunch of bullies or trolls, or we'll kick your ass.

We are like siblings. We fight like cats and dogs, but we do actually love each other. If you hop in right away saying what a bitch the dog is, don't be surprised when the cat scratches your eyes out, then kicks your ass.

Don't expect to find anyone here who knows how to praise an irritating debate. If you confuse us with someone who does, we'll kick your ass.

We have plenty of computer sense. Naturally, sometimes we have small lapses in judgment. However, we are not dumb enough to pretend we know it all. If anyone tried to do that, they would get a serious ass kickin'.

We are fully aware of how hot it can get at this site, so shut up about it. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen, or we'll kick your ass.

Taking yourself too seriously will get your ass kicked into next week.

Don't talk about how much better things are at other websites, because we know they are not. Many of us have visited those other hellholes and we have the scars to prove it. If you don't like it here, AOL is ready when you are. Move your ass on home - before we kick it.

Yes, we know how to speak proper English. We talk this way because we don't want to sound like you. We don't care if you don't understand what we are saying. All other LIT members understand what we are saying and that's all that matters. Now, go away, or we'll kick your ass.

Don't ridicule our LIT manners. We say sir and ma'am. We hold doors open for others. We offer our seats to old folks. Such things are expected of civilized people. Behave yourselves around our sweet little gray-haired grandmothers, or they'll kick your ass-just like they did ours.

If you say, "don't judge me" we're all going to judge that you need an ass kickin'.

DO NOT DARE to tell us how to debate. This will get your ass shot (right after it is kicked). Criticize our debate styles and you may go home laid out on a mouse pad - minus your ass.

If you want to bring up abortion, religion or politics be prepared for the swiftest ass kicking ever.

If you joined just to be a spy, we'll hunt you down like the mole you are and kick your ass right outta here.

We don't much care for lurkers. So post something, or get your ass kicked.

If you think you're better than other people, and plan to tell everyone, be prepared to have your pedestal knocked over, and when you land, your ass will be so kicked.

Don't even THINK of copying parts of this website to post it somewhere else. We always find out as we have loyal LIT members everywhere, and if it happens again, someone's ass is getting kicked.

Remember, the only reason you are lucky enough to be here in the first place is because we let you in. Maybe we should have a border patrol around this place to keep your ass out.

I seem to remember these being posted else where on this board? I believe it was by Cloudy!?!? Maybe not. But, I do remember the person that did post it being praised for their thoughtful intelligent interpretation of the rules of the house.
