Questions about Formating a story

Hello,

I would like to format a few things different in a (German) story. And since I do not know how it looks and do not always want to wait 3 days before I see how it is Formatted, I immediately ask:

How do I bold, underline and italics?
Can I add text in two or more columns? (I have two actions that have run parallel and want them SIDE BY SIDE.)
Can you use color text?
Can (and is it allowed) to include links? (no erotic links, but as Wikipedia - items)
Can I post images or link them?
Not that I need all at once, but I do like to know how to do it, so I can prepare the text.

Is there any possibility of long texts to split on Points set by me (for example, act), so they are spread over several pages Literotica?

I do not care if I submit a Word-document or send in the texts in the submit-window. But I like it more to submit in the submit-box. Easier to anonymisize.

I know there are many questions for the first time. I would be happy if someone (at least in part to) answer a newcomer.

Thank's SweetWitch, but the only thing I've learned from the Guideline was, that I'm don't allowed to use Links. Of course I've read that before and I thougt about the reason of not linking.
-Security, nobody wants a virus
-not making advertising for any products forums ect.
Thats absolutly okay for me.
What I would like to link is some explanations for not very well known things like "technological singularity" (from wikipedia) or a link to google or microsoft as part of a joke on these companies.

On the how to format a text I havent found anything. I realy would like to use formating, but I haven't the lightest Idea, how I can do it here. (In ms-Word I can do, but I don't think, that it is possible to see it here the same way like in word)
I hoped, that there would be some textcommands like ... <not bold anymore>, wich I put in the Text and anything would be fine.

Try this: Basic Text Formatting 101 by michchick98.

There are other advice notes in the "How To" section. Use advanced search to look for "formatting".

The editors here wouldn't even let me list fake URLs in a story, so you can count on any real linking to be a no go, I think.

The exception is links to Literotica. I've linked to submission pages and the main site at various times in stories.

Ahh, yes, that's good to add.

I actually thought it should be OK to use URLs to nonexistent sites since the links really don't go anywhere (I'm currently running a series every other week on Internet-related stories). But even that was a no go. I just adjusted the stories.

How do I bold, underline and italics?

Use the HTML tags <b>,<u>,<i> (with the matching close tages, </b> etc.)

Can I add text in two or more columns? (I have two actions that have run parallel and want them SIDE BY SIDE.)

There is no way I know of to post columns in HTML without using tables and HTML tables are among the MTML codes Lit will NOT allow.

Can you use color text?

No. A special request for a short block of color text might be granted, but as a rule, Lit does not allow different colors or fonts so that all of the stories have the same "look and feel."

Can I post images or link them?

See the instructions for posting illustrated stories. You can NOT link to or use images you do not own the copyright to. Some exceptions might be made for images you have express written release for the images to be used at Literotica.

Is there any possibility of long texts to split on Points set by me (for example, act), so they are spread over several pages Literotica?

Not that I know of. A typical Lit page is 3,767 words and the nearest paragraph break within about 400 words of that point (before or after) will be where the page breaks. The actual computation is based on the number of character and non-printing characters and HTML codes are apparently counted although most word processers don't count the non-printing characters and formatting commands.

Predicting the exact page break is usually more work than it's worth. If you absolutely must have the story broken at certain points, submit each page as a separate submission/chapter.
