Well, for sure, if I were there.
I'll add it to my list to try.
In return, I give you the Gougenheim Malbec, an inexpensive and wonderfully drinkable everyday wine.

I love white wine - couple of my favourites.
Affordable and drinkable ones are - Vina Sol Torres - always drink this when I am in Spain, so when I come back to England the taste holds lovely memories. I love Sauvignon Blanc most of all though - Oyster Bay is always a lovely drink.

Could it had been a problem with the bottle? corked?
I've never had a bad bottle of Ménage à Trois Red from Folie à Deux Winery. It pairs well with pizza, friends and the sunset. 7 Deadly Zins from Michael and David in Lodi has never disappointed me.
I think my current go-to wine (meaning that it's relatively inexpensive, I like it and I have a few bottles of it) for a glass in the evening is a 2006 Twisted Vine Vinfandel.

Ah yes, bring out the N.Z. wines. Anything from Hawkes Bay.
On another note. What are the laws in your area regarding sending wine over state/provincial/? borders as a gift? I can't send any decent local wines from the western Canadian province to anyone out of province.

I like Smoking Loon merlot or cabernet sauvignon.
I'm definitely not an expert with wine and just go with anything that tastes good to me. I don't think I can tell the different between a $10 bottle of wine with a $50 bottle of wine. That's my disclaimer if you decide to try it based on my recommendation.
