Alan Rickman/Severus Snape
Best. Casting. Ever.
He's not only exactly as I pictured Snape since the first book but he's just damn good at it. The whole series has perfect casting but Rickman was a stroke of genius.
Yeah, I'm watching Half Blood Prince. I loves me a good Harry Potter movie.

Rickman is just a damn fine actor. I defy anyone to find me something where Rickman isn't a joy to watch. From Die Hard to Galaxy Quest he can do anything.

Best Eurotrash villain ever in Die Hard. Everyone since has copied him.
Galaxy Quest was brilliant on almost every level. I love his frustration with his job and yet he allows you to see that deep down he still loves it.

If you like a good harry potter movie why would you like half blood prince. It was the 2nd worst movie in the series after order of the pheonix.

Says the lady who thinks half blood prince is a good harry potter movie. It was one of the best books and they ripped the best scenes out of it and added in a shitty scene where the weasleys house gets burned down. What was the fucking point of taking out a good scene from the book and adding a shitty scene some writer made up.
The whole purpose of half blood prince was to give back story to Dumbledore and Voldemort throught those memories. They left out the important ones that help explain why he became that way and the similarities between Harry and Tom Riddle.
Even the scene in the cave got fucked up as well as the return to the school. They fucked that movie up with a vengence.

I agree though his turn in Love Actually wasn't so great.
Though I suppose the argument could be the part wasn't great yet he performed well.

He is a good actor but I couldn't stand the film Sweeney Todd. Not because of him but because I didnt like the music.

I'm convinced Rowling had Rickman in her mind's eye when she conceived the Snape character. Even on the page, it seems like it just has to be Rickman.

Rickman's best film performance, IMO, was in Truly, Madly, Deeply. A chick flick made into something wonderful by him and Zoe Wannamaker.
