Barsotti's Apple Cider will kick any apple cider's ass
I just got a buncha these gallon bottles cold from Apple Hill.
They're good when ice cold, good when you heat it up and throw some cinnamon sticks in there, and especially good with Diet Sprite.
Can't nobody's friggin apples beat this stuff. And it's made just 30 miles from here. Hoorah. My addiction is satisfied.

Diet Sprite??? Gotta try that.
Ciders almost a universal drink, good hot, cold or anywhere in between.

Unpasteurized is the best.

Soft. Add some diet Sprite or any cheap equivalent and you basically have sparkling apple cider, to which I am addicted.

Sparkling apple cider kicks ass, as does the unsparkling variety (assuming it's the good stuff). The only kind I can get here is martinelli's, and can't get hard cider.

Now that's intelligent. Get addicted to a seasonal drink.

Perhaps that's because you don't have an "Apple Hill" equivalent nearby?
There is a brand called Ziegler's which is competitive against Barsotti's as far as taste is concerned. You can find that one at Wal Mart supercenters. I prefer Barsotti's because it's local to me, but Ziegler's brand should be available to you if you can find a supercenter. Both Ziegler and Barsotti's are available year round, although they're cheaper now.

Oh shut up! Even though he and I don't see eye to eye I can appreciate cider with him.

Big Island HI
I can get one brand of hard cider at the liquor store, but it's pretty bad, so...
There was a hard pear cider that I used to get in Oakland that was amazing, wish I could remember the name. I'm checking the other side of the island tomorrow, maybe I'll have better luck.

God, I wanted to go there this summer. I was about to leave my job and book a hotel in Maui but my job won't let me go.
You guys have the most absolutely slamming food, I swear to God. Back then when we had much less money we practically spent a week for almost free in Honolulu (not counting flight & hotel) by letting the vacation home people pull us aside at every turn. Discounts up the yin yang. We had to hire a tanker ship to bring back all the souvenirs from the market.
Dammit. You're making me jealous. And nostalgic
