Deer hunting This year?
Not me.
Working on my last deer stand
Here is most of the frame it will be 8 ft off the ground. 8 ft wide x 8 ft. long and I don't know how tall yet
Phase one is to build the frame..unbolt it find a place on the home farm site and set it up.
Next year and I hope with some help from my brothers we will finish it.
This mother is not cheap!

Hunting Newbies or deer? 
Well, I sort of did stop hunting...to tell the truth, this is a permanent deer stand to go "Down on the family farm" so everybody can hunt out of it.
Oh, I probably will bust a cap or two for old time sake and meat for the freezer but this is really a family "thing".
Believe it or not I have about $250.00 US, in it already.
Galvanized bots, nuts and washers are expensive! Damned landscape timbers are too!

Yeah, but this one will last longer than I will and have four sliding glass windows, insulation, heater, vents 12 VDC lights, the whole nine yards.

Nice, don't skimp out on it, build it to last!
I bowhunt, my buddy shot a big doe today, we tracked it (i shit you not) almost 500 yards, blood trail. We find a pile of deer shit with blood, and that's the last we found.
