What a day, today I had the honors of being the Wichita lineman, I had to climb up a 50 Ft. aluminum ladder to the top of a telephone pole in my yard To attach the new Electrical weather head to the telephone pole then I had to put a cable clamp over the service entrance cable every 30 In. going back down the telephone pole while ballancing myself since I had a screw drill in one hand and screws in the other hand.
It was 57 Deg. outside with no high winds thank God.
On Monday morning the electrician comes back out with the utility company to disconnect electricity so the electrician puts in a new meter panel and a new outdoor circuit breaker panel box and then he has to get the utility company to tie in the new cable lines to the St. main power.
I told the electrician that I had college all day on Monday and I hope tp have electricity when I get back.
I am lucky that this wiring problem did not happen in January.
It does not pay to have electric heat.
I am using a portable propane heater when needed at night.
Welcome to the sticks of New York State.
At this point I am ready to scale the Golden Gate bridge to change out the beacon lights.
