Enumael was cold as he drifted somewhere in the absence of God, probably a lingering holdover from having worn the flesh of a mortal. He had forgotten the name of the woman he had saved by giving her his body, only to return to this... Emptiness. Direction was meaningless here, but he tried to look up, where he imagined the mortal realm would be and called out in a muted shriek. "Why have you not called my name?!" If he could see, if there were light here, where he dwelled, he would be shaking his fists at the heavens, or at the world above.

A bead of light appeared, streaking down, like a bolt of lightning, toward him. "Is it... Could it... Be?" He asked himself before the light enveloped him and snatched him from the void with such violent velocity that concious thought failed him.

Finally, he felt warm, the thrumming of blood coursing through his veins. "A body!" He thought, though the body was deep in a dream. "I have a body!" He proclaimed within his mind. The force of his thoughts woke him, and he sat up in bed. "Yes!" He shouted, his voice oddly shrill.

Across the room, mounted on the door to the bedroom, was a full size mirror, and in it, Enumael saw the image of a beautiful, raven haired woman, her bare breasts heaving with excited breath as she looked with wide eyes upon herself. It wasn't until the lazy and rough hand of a man fell upon said breath that Enumael realized what he was seeing in the mirror was himself.

He jerked away and fell out of bed in responce to the touch taking the blankets with him, cursing. "God damn!"

"Eden?! Jesus! You okay?" A male voice asked from the bed. Enumael could hear the man moving to help. "Fine! Fine... Just... I need to... Uh... Powder my nose...." It had been a looooong time since Enumael had posessed a female body. He only hoped that particular coloquelism he knew had endured. The man in the bed was silent for several tense seconds, then finally said. "Okay honey, do what you have to..."

Enumael wrapped the blanket around him.... Er... Herself as he... She! Stood and made HER way to the adjoining bathroom. "Eden? I had to be a woman named Eden?" Enumael asked himself as he looked at the woman's face staring back at him in the bathroom's medicine cabinate mirror. He gave a quick glance at the celing of the room, then rolled his eyes. "As if!" "...As if? What the hell does that mean? Must be something in this woman's mind... Now... How do I get out of here and back to the woman I love?" Enumael wondered as he... SHE heard a knock at the bathroom door. "Honey, you okay? Didn't fall in did you?" The man asked with a chuckle in his voice.

Something about the man's tone made Enumael crinkle his nose in annoyance. "Oh, no, I'm just making myself beautiful for you, sweet love! Why don't you come in, and we can... You know..." Enumael said as he watched the woman's face he wore smile in the mirror. "Sure thing! You know, this is the first time we'll do it in the-aaaiiiii!" The man entered, took a hand full of this body's breast, before he was dragged over her shoulder and into the tub, hitting his head against the wall and his legs dangling limply outside of it. "Good night, lover, sleep tight, don't let the..." I'm waisting time!

Bolting back into the bedroom, I donnned a pair of loose fitting sweat pants and a white, all-too-clingy blouse. I looked rediculous, but I didn't care as he beat feet for the down stairs, then the garage door. "I hope.... She has her own car!" I said to myself when a small, sleepy voice caught me off guard. "Momma? Where ya goin?"

"Out!" I shot back without looking. "Stay with... Uh... Stay inside!" All I heard was a gasp of breath as I shut the door behind me. I was in a car, as sweet car, all muscle, no brain. I knew it must have been this body's boyfriend, or... Help myself, her husband's as I gunned into drive, toward New York.

*New York, New York, The Deviant, 4AM*

"WAKE UP!" William shouted in Elise's ear, as he shook the aged male body of
Norman, that she was stuck inhabiting. "Enumael has returned!"

Elise groaned in her bed, erm his bed. Damn it she wasn't even male. Her eyes fluttered open at the sound of Williams *voice attempting to wake her up. It had been at least a few months since the fight between her and the creepy salon lady.

She still wasn't even clear on why she had to go there and the fact that William said she had been safe was a lie.

She had been put in Enumaels body because he wanted to save her. Apparently, she had become a zombie or something.

"Wha?" her newly male voice grumbled, still half asleep. Being stuck in an older mans body meant she had lack of energy. She hated it!

"Enumaels been found.."

She jerked out if the bed,"What?!" she bellowed,"really, where? Oh my god you have to tell me. Is he gonna get me out of the shit hole of a body? And back into something with I dunno boobs and a pussy? Because that'd be great!"*

"I don't know where he is, only that he has returned. And until he makes his presence known to us, I cannot even tell you WHO he might be this time. But I don't doubt for a second that he'll show up sooner or later." William said, giving Elise a pat on the shoulder as she grumbled about wearing a male body. "Its not that bad, is it? At least you havn't had to deal with periods for the last few months..." He teased before ducking out of the room to avoid any retaliation for his jibing.

*On the highway, about 200 miles away from New York.*

Eden's car had broken down, and Enumael was walking with a feeling of apprehension. He recognized the feeling belonged to Eden and pushed it aside as he pressed on. About fourty minutes later, someone stopped, to give him a lift to the nearest gas station, which was still seven miles down the road.

Of course, not even two minutes into the ride, the driver tried to feel up Eden's body, but Enumael turned on the man and fed on his soul. The man was still alive when the authorities found him laying in the ditch 20 hours later, babbling about "Ash cold eyes burning into him." Enumael ditched the car twenty miles outside of New York, using money he'd taken from the man to catch a bus into the heart of the city, and to the Deviant.

He felt eyes on him the moment he entered the bar, some of the men even whistled and cat called as she took a seat at the bar. "Hey, Joe, please tell Val that I'm back, oh, and if you could set me up with a whiskey, on the rocks, that would be great." Enumael said as the bar tender came up to him. At first Joe was looking at him with the same look in his eyes as every other man in the club, then he gave her a look of confusion, finally with a nod and a shrug, he placed a tumbler with ice and a fifth in front of Eden before buzzing Val's office phone.

"Hey boss, a lady's here to see you, seems to know you by name... Alright...." Joe hung up the line and gave Eden a nod. "Go on up, he says." "Thanks Joe." Enumael said with a smile and a wink. "Don't mind if I take this with me do you?" He asked, indicating the glass and the fifth. "Knock yourself out, lady." Joe said as he went back to work.

*Five minutes later.*

There was a knock at Elise's door.

Elise sighed tapping her fingers on the desk. She was antsy as hell, since William had no clue where Enumael would show up or looking like what. It was absolutely frustrating! Because not only did she dislike her current body but.. she missed him.

She missed Enumael.

Sure he'd only been gone a few months but it felt like a century.

She jerked her head up at the knocking sound. During the time Enumael had left she had to take over his duties. It was far from fun.

"Come in." she said*

Fran slipped into the room and without saying a word came over to Elise, placing a hand against the flat of her male body's stomach. "I am so happy for you." She whispered with a smile, giving Elise a small peck on the cheek before wandering back out of the room and down the hall.

William entered a moment later. "Elise, he's here! Enumael! He's... Uh... Well... You'll see. They're in Val's office."

Elise looked at the retreating Fran. She was so happy for her? Why? They hadn't found Enumael yet. She opened her mouth to ask Fran,'why was she do happy?'

However Fran left and William took her place.

"Hes here?"She squealed, making her masculine form look gay. It didn't matter because she scared off all the female admirers.

She stood up and rushed into Vals office bypassing the female."Where is he?! I don't see him is he invisible or are you guys playing with my head again?"

Val rose from his seat as Elise rushed into his office and held a gloved and imperious hand up to stall her excited queries. "He's behind you, sitting off to your right..." Val said, shifting his gaze toward the guest. "Hello handsome, I trust you have been taking good care of that body? From the looks of it, I could do with a shave..." The woman said, leaning forward in her seat, giving Elise an appraising once over with her crystal blue eyes.

Elise looked over the woman as Val directed and blinked for a second."Okay you're mocking me. You guys are probably tired of my complaining about this stupid body.." she flushed as the woman spoke, hitting on her to."I think im gonna gag." She turned to Val,"you know I hate being hit on by women, I'm 'gay' remember. now seriously, where is he?!"

A smirk creeped its way onto Val's face as he sat back down and put his feet up on the table to enjoy the 'show'. The woman clucked her tongue. "I travel all this way, back from the cold void of hell, for her, and she can't even tell its me in this body." The woman sauntered over to Elise and went to put her arms about the male frame she wore. "Does a person's exterior really mean so much to you... Lover?" Enumael whispered.

Elise stared blankly for a minute as the woman reprimanded her. Immediately, Elise stiffened as the woman wrapped her arm around her. It wasn't until she called Elise lover that a small gasp or... as tiny as a male could give left elises lips.

"E-enumael? Oh my god, I-I missed you so much!" Elise said, her new male voice getting husky and deep...er.

"You cannot imagine how much I missed you." Enumael replied, embracing Elise, the press of his female body's breasts against her male chest reminding them both of the awkwardness of their current position. Cervie walked in just as the two were kissing, catching Elise's attention by giving her a sly grin. "I thought you said you were gay!" He teased before taking a seat on the far side of the room, across from Val. "You two might want to come up for air and see this..." He added as he hit a button set into the table. The center of the table opened and a wide screen monitor rose up. Hitting another button on the table, Cervie brought up the local news.

"And in other news, a New Jersey woman's whereabouts are still unknown after hastily departing her home twenty four hours ago. Eyewitnesses say that the woman was acting strangely, and that drugs could possibly be involved. The woman is a single mother of two. Her children have been handed over into protective custody until she can be found. Authority's ask that if anyone has information reguarding her whereabouts, please call the annonymous hot line on your screen. Now for the weather." During the short report a photograph of the woman was displayed along with the afformentioned hotline number. The woman in the picture bore an uncanny resemlance to the body Enumael wore at the moment.

"Well... Shit..." Enumael grumbled after seeing the report.

Elise opened her mouth to smart off to Cervie but shut it as she listened to the news."Ohhh those poor kids." She let go of Enumael."I can't believe you left her kids by themselves. You have to go back *and get them."

At enumaels look of disgust she pouted,"Please Enumael I've always wanted kids and with breast cancer I always ruled it out and obviously we can't have kids... please."

"Then perhaps you should wear this body and give me back my male frame. I am ill equiped to raise children..." Enumael shot back, with a cold edge to his voice. "Ill equiped? Wasn't it you who stole Fran away, and tried to make her the mother of the antichrist only six years ago?" Cervie asked."

"Thats beside the point, and It wasn't the antichrist she was meant to birth, but Lilith, then she would unleash HER demonic children upon the..." Enumael looked at Elise and saw how she was edging away from him. "Reguardless, she never had her, you and your trifeling ended up changing the course of time, now she has given birth to the reincarnated soul of Gaia! Oh happy day!" Enumael tossed his/her arm's up in annoyance at the whole situation.

Elise raised her/his eyebrow at Enumaels complaints of being ill equipped to handle children. Her eyes narrowed,"How the fuck are you ill eqipped, I mean you stole their mothers body." she snapped in the same cold tone he'd given her.

"Frankly I think that's the least you could do and trust me if I could I'd switch bodies with you in a second!" The tone was still cold as Elise crossed his/her arms.

Goodness demons were grouchy, it made her happy she was a mortal. "Please Enumael if not for them.." Elise continued in a soft voice, "for me..?"

[Ravenloft]

"I didn't steal this body! I was simply drawn into it! And the last thing I need is a couple of whelp children that I had nothing to do with, tugging on my apron strings. If YOU care about the bas... Them so much, then take this body and return to them, for all its worth. But you'd be throwing away what you and I have together, because I refuse to become involved with such complications! Why do you think I choose the body YOU are in now? Certainly not for his looks! No, but for the fact that no one would miss him... No children, no lover, nothing! And you dare tell ME that I stole anything? Look at you, wearing the body I choose for myself, so smug, so self rightous! The only reason you still EXIST is because I gave up my body, MY BODY! To keep you from shuffling off this mortal coil!" Enumael sneared.

"William! Prepare your sanctuary for a soul transferal ritual!" He spat, knowing Will had entered the room without even looking. The mage gave Val a glance before nodding and leaving the office. "You'll have your wish within the hour... Elise..." Enumael said before turning away, leaving her alone in the office with Val and Cervie.

Elise stood there quiet for a minute? Had he just.... broken up with her? Was he claiming that he regretted saving her? Better yet, was he claiming she stole his body? "Men!" she snapped,"This is why I never got serious with men, demon or not they're all fucking bastards." If she weren't stuck in a guys body, she wouldve started crying.

Oh what the hell!

"Im smug? I didn't even ask for this."

No matter how hard she tried to keep from crying tears rolled down her masculine face.He was the only guy demon or not she had gotten close to, or even wanted to be close to.

She ignored Val and cervies prescence and just cried.

She finally gained control of herself and walked out. This had not been the reunion she had expected but then again, she felt bad for the kids Enumael left behind and was it her fault she was such a good person?

She leaned against the door of Enumaels office scared to go in.
Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door hoping he was in there. As much as she hated Enumael at the moment, she couldn't stand losing him.

Val and Cervie sat with Elise in silence until she garnered the strength to leave the room. After she left, Cervie leaned forward. "Well, that was awkward... I'd have given her a shoulder if she weren't in such an ugly body..."

*Enumael's room*

Enumael was pacing back and forth in his room, hating himself for what he had just done. Had the void dug its thorny claws so deep within him that he was as empty as it was? As an angel, fallen or not, it was humanity that kept him whole, if he turned his back on that, what was he? Just a burnt out shell. Still, he had absolutely no desire to raise children, there were far too many more important things he wanted to do with his time on earth. "Come in." He called out, surprised by the strain of emotion he heard in his voice.

Elise took a long awaited breath then stepped into Enumaels room. She was silent for a minute, before saying,"Can we try this reunion thing again? I think it got botched up slightly." She gave a wry grin,"I did miss you.." she whispered coming up and standing behind Enumael she wrapped her arms around him... her.

God this was weird.

"Dont be mad at me." She laid her head on his. "I just..." she pursed her lips trying to keep the words I want kids and want to raise them with you. Besides it was foolish because she wasn't even in a female body. How could she just want to be mother?

Enumael turned in Elise's arms to face her, feeling the warmth of her soul even through the body she wore. "I'm like a moth to a flame..." Enumael whispered under his breath as he breathed in her scent. "You know, when I first met you, I could feel how dead you felt inside, thinking that your life was meaningless because of your cancer. But when I took that away, it was like watching you come to life. I couldn't just let it end with just another sensless death, that is why I gave up this body to you, why I returned to hell... For you... Now, if you want this body, I will give it to you, I wasn't being flippant about that. But... Children have a way of seeing through to the core of a person. They would see me for what I am under the skin I wear... Which is why I cannot return to them."

Elise smiled as they embraced. Shed really missed having someone to hold her or in this case someone to hold."I..." Elise pursed her lips," I understand.." she whispered, biting her lip,"I would love to be in a feminine again." She paused,"I-I wouldn't rescue the children anyways, not if it meant losing you, again."

Elise pulled away, "Okay enough mushy stuff I'm in a mans body, kinda makes me look like I'm gay."

"No, you're right, I have no more right to demand that you forsake them then I do denighing them their mother. I know you Elise, perhaps better than you know yourself. You have always longed to be a mother." Enumael let Elise pull away, smirking a little at her comment about 'looking' gay.

"You know, if you want to trade bodies with me, you're likely going to feel a whole lot gayer. For us to switch back, we're going to need to be... Intimate. And we'll need William's assistance. Oh, not as part of it, we'll just need the use of his node, the focal point of his quintessence..."

Seeing that he was just confusing Elise, Enumael added "The room he does his magick in?" With breathy exasperation. "Honestly, I'd hoped they would have taught you a little about the supernatural in my absence..."
