Angel Tales: USA ((OOC Casting))

((OOC: So as some may know, my birthday was a week ago and I’ve decided to reward myself by trying a thread to explore one of my few unexplored fantasies. If you haven’t guessed, this thread is based on a Japanese anime that represents one of my all time favorite fantasies. If you don’t know about this show... slap yourself (then check it out).

The basic premise is that this guy has shit luck and nothing he ever does works out. If he leaves the house without an umbrella, it rains. If he gets a job, the company goes belly up. If he gets a date, she turns out to be a guy. (You get the picture) Then one day, a fortune teller appears and tells him that his luck is about to change, he doesn’t really buy it until his cell phone rings and answers itself, and suddenly there are three smoking hot girls in his living room, all desperate to tend to his every need.

It turns out that these girls are the souls of his former pets, all of whom love him madly and are now serving as his guardian angels. They still maintain aspects of their former animal selves as well as unique phobias related to how they died. The funny part about the original show is that all of these smoking hot girls (eventually twelve) are all dieing to get in their Master’s pants, but he never lets them (not going to be the case in this thread).

The girls all fight amongst each other and get jealous over who gets to spend the most time with their Master.

While I’ll agree that this premise is wildly indulgent and greedy, it’s my birthday gift to myself so it’s okay. While characters from the show are permissible, I’d prefer original characters. In addition to a pic and a profile please include the animal from which you are reincarnated as well as a phobia related to your death.))

Attitude: Generally shy and reserved, this wise cracking young man has had a long string of terrible luck. Mark tries not to make waves most of the time but when he’s frustrated he can lose his temper in a major way.

Bio: The last restaurant he worked at went out of business and he has been unable to find gainful employment since then. He lives alone and is hopelessly single without so much as a promising crush. He tries hard not to complain but can scarcely afford to feed himself, much less keep up with rent. He is doing his best to stay optimistic in spite of everything.

Animal of Origin: None, he’s always been human.

Phobia: None, he hasn’t died.

((This thread will likely be much cuter than what many have come to expect from me, but it ought to be tons of fun so who cares?))

Attitude: Tiffy is very easily excited. VERY easily. She gets very protective of both Mark and any of her own actual possessions. She will share if he asks her to, but not without a grumble or two in the process. Like most women, she has an obsession with shoes- but not for the same reason as most women...

Bio: Tiffy was once a very hyper stray pup, happily trailing behind Mark for a few weeks as he walked to and from work. Over time, he began to feed her, finally deciding to sneak the pooch into his apartment. When he left for work one day, Tiffy got lonely, going out to see if she could find him. She ended up lost in the city, trying to find her way back to mark, only to end up trapped in an abandoned building and starving to death.

Animal of Origin: Jack Russell Terrier

Build: Lean but athletic. Very flexible, with natural grace.

I know it's not a schoolgirl outfit but you can imagine one over the top if it suits you. I just love this pic.


Attitude: Topaz likes to think she doesn't need Mark's affection but the truth is that she has no self confidence without someone to call home. She dislikes having to compete for his attention but is crestfallen if she doesn't get it. She's very streetwise and intuitive but finds it hard to vocalise what she wants from him. She absolutely hates having to beg, but being verbally humiliated is her hottest sexual button. Sometimes she'll even put her claws out and resist, just for thrill of being forcibly put back in her place.

Bio: Topaz was the runt of a litter and had to fight her bigger, stronger siblings for sustenance as a kitten. While the other cute kittens were sold, nobody wanted Topaz so Mark's friend gave her to him for free to make up for the death of his previous pet. At the time, she was Mark's only pet and she desperately misses feeling special like that. Topaz was only a year old when she got a little too curious about some left over take-out in the garbage chute. She was smothered when bags of refuse were thrown on top of her. Mark never found out what happened to her and Topaz refuses to discuss it.

Residual animal traits: Loves sushi. Also loves Mark's lap, in fact she's quite territorial about it. Topaz moves with grace and has excellent balance, she can move silently and stealthily. Topaz is inherently lazy and needs keen motivation before she'll get off her ass, though she's efficient once she decides to do something. She's devious, not always honest and will find the easy way to do something if it exists. She has a stubborn streak that borders on suicidal when she's angry or upset. When she was a cat, Mark got her spayed and though she's never quite forgiven him for it, she has the added advantage of being barren. She's therefore an intact virgin, as the neighbourhood cats weren't interested in her.

Phobias: Asphyxia, smothering, claustrophobia.

I know they're reincarnated as the girls, but I feel bad for the creatures...

I was basing the idea of the images off the anime; I watched a few of 'em to see what I was getting into.
I can swap to a puppy-girl easily if that's more what you're looking for, Shark.

I know, it's all a bit tragic. I really wanted asphyxia as a phobia though because I know it'll make for some fun later on.

I wonder how many women LS expects to have lined up before he starts the thread?

As for numbers, I think that three is a good number to start things off (true to the original inspiration) and then we'll add more as interest grows.

As for your question, vice, these girls ought to be human in appearance, though it might be intriguing the other way I want to stay faithful to the original in which they are all human in appearance (also inexplicably dressed in different private school uniforms). What I meant by maintaining aspects of their former selves is that they hold animalistic qualities and also likes and dislikes related to their species of origin.

For example, the two of you would likely have a rivalry within the thread due to the fact that you are reincarnated from a cat and a dog. The show also has rivalries like a tortoise and a hair who can't ever agree, the tortoise wants to carefully examine her optings while the rabbit girl just follows her id to the edge of the Earth (she's also very horny).

I'll get to work on the IC tonight, hopefully I can snare one more before then. I'm going to post as open regardless, because... well, because I'm a greedy bastard.

The only thing I need is the circumstances by which your goldfish died so that you can have a phobia related to it. For instance, maybe the air pump in your fish tank shut off while your Master was away and you drowned, giving you an ironic fear of water (stolen from the show). Otherwise a great contribution.

Your phobia can be whatever you like (maybe even a fear of cats), but you have to have one.
