Just Wow. (Closed)
A quick dodge to the left was all that separated him from the mortal peril of that arrow. The knight breathed heavily as he straightened himself up against the nearby wall; this was a moment he could rest but it would not be for long. This fight was long from over and he was on the wrong end. The losing end. Overall, things could have been much worse but he didn't have time to think of all of them. As fate would have it, he ran out of all time as a large boulder came crashing through the wall, knocking him into a tumble.
When he stood back up, he was back in his safe apartment though something was very different. He couldn't read his posters nor did any of the light switches seem to work. On that same note, several of the lights were flickering and it seemed normal that way. As he took a step, he could swear he heard some music and he opened his mouth to speak and nothing came out.
-Insert studio audience applause-
Ryn sat up, blinking and looking around. His eyesight became corrected as he reached over to the nightstand and found his glasses, quickly putting them where they belonged. He breathed a sigh of relief, realizing it was just a dream and then turned to his clock where he saw the time. The relief turned to dread as the clock had not gone off at the correct time. Late for class this early in the semester?!
The morning had gone by a little better, as the teacher had been gone for the day. He was 22, in college in his own apartment near campus. Finding a dorm had been hell, since most everyone in his family was lazy until the last minute. It wasn't a choice, just hereditary and at those peak moments they performed extraordinarily. Though he was a little more on the ball then today, it just happened to be a good luck.
Plus the cost of living directly in the campus dorms was more than he could afford. He had a job at the college and it was nice and easy, paid well. Who knew working the info desk was not challenging? He could also get his homework done during work hours, leaving more time to get home and play games! It was a great schedule.
And now, his day was done at around 3 and he sat back on the couch to take a few minutes to relax...
