I had a 22 pound cat who could calm me down by his purring. He was so loud you could hear him in the next room. He'd cuddle up to my back and purr and I felt like he was hypnotizing me or at least doing some sort of ancient pressure point magic. I miss him!

I know when I cry, my girl Tabitha will get in my lap and cuddle me until I stop.
There's something inherently funny about that article, but cats are scientifically proven to make their human keepers live longer, happier, healthier lives! Obviously no cat should get a Hypnotherapy license (he doesn't even have thumbs to hold a pen!) but "Animal Therapy" is something I actually take seriously.

I'd like to see Freud analyze that therapist
and you know animal therapy is real.
One form is to give old people pets, or sometimes plants even do the job. Something to give them some power, some control. Will make them lived longer and happier.
And then healing power of creature comfort should not be underestimated.
