Rodrick Malkson, what could you say about him? he was a great king, he has a lot of people willing to help him. Rodrick has only one personal maid, what people didn't know was they have been each others best friend for over five years. Veronica was in love for him, not his crown, power or jewels, she loved him for him. He was the only one who called her V. Rodrick was gentle, but he is also in love with V. He wanted to take there friendship turn into lovers, he wants to have an hire with her only. She wasn't stupid and didn't care about everything except for the man the king is.

The year was 3020, they were on Jupiter, such a beautiful planet, it was a beautiful night, she had spent a little time off duty, she needed him, he was in his thirties and she was eighteen going on nineteen. Because he is the king and he is older, her love for him never shows. But she wants him badly, she wanted him in her life. She wanted to be his beloved, maybe even give him a son. She was always there for him, she couldn't help but think about him a lot. It was a beautiful night, she felt the air brushing against her cheek. She looked at the moon.

Her brown eyes looked up, her lightly tan body shimmered in the moonlight, and her brown dress that showed her curves, she was thinking of only one thing.

And that was Rod, Veronica's beloved

When he was young, Rodrick had always imagined that once he grew older he wouldn't have to deal with the constant paranoia of the guards. His planet had been at peace for years, even before his parents had died and left him the throne there wasn't much in the way of major problems. To this day, though, the guards follow behind him everywhere he goes. He had to be very insistant that he be allowed a simple private stroll. He could ussually be let alone when in the palace, but today he had somewhere special he had to go.

He knew that she'd be there, it was her favorite place to watch the night sky. She'd shown this place to him once before. There she was, beautiful as always, and looking preoccupied. He wasn't really surprised when she didn't notice him standing right behind her. He smiled and stepped closer to before putting a hand on her shoulder.

It was always said that a king be dressed lavishly, but the royal family had never liked this. They had to look impressive but not as much as most monarchs. He wore his royal ring, it shines with it's gold and it's rare blue jewl, brighter then saphire and always seeming to glow. He left the crown for only ceremonial occassions. He was suppossed to wear certain robes, but ussually just dressed sharply, in some nice suit. This was how he was dressed now.

The tall figure looked up, his eyes a peircing blue that nearly matched the ring, gazing into the cosmos. His blond hair, thatno matter what anyone at the palace did, would still look messy, hung back with his upturned head.

Quite cassually he spoke. "Hey, V." he said, having gotten sick of the formalities years ago. "Whatcha thinking about?"

V smiled feeling a hand on her shoulder, even before he talked she knew that it was Rodrick. She smiled when he asked her what she was doing she looked up at him. Her deep brown eyes looked into his deep eyes. "Ive just been here relaxing, away from other people. But im glad your here Rodrick" she admitted. They were only formal if others were in the room, but if there was only the two of them, they let it drop. She rubbed the back of her neck and her eyes looked up into the night again, it was getting colder but she didn't care.

"Im surprised your here actully, because your usually always doing important things" V stated, she had wanted to be alone with him a lot more, but she would never say such a thing. She was afraid to push it and be around him more. She sighed, looking down, some what saddened.

Rodrick gave her a big smile."I hope I'm not bothering you. It's like you said, I don't get enough free time. I'd go mad if I had to stay cooped up another minute. I thought it'd be nice to get away from everything for just a little while." He said keeping his hand on her. He left unsaid how much he'd been longing to spend more time with her. That may not be a problem for long.

"Things are slow, even for here there slow. I've been thinking. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to take a litlle vacation. Just a few days, a minimmum company." the mischeivious look in his eyes was as obvious an invitation as any, but he went on. "I'd really love it for you to come with me." he considered giving an excuse or why he'd need her, but part of him knew that they were far past that.

V enjoyed his company, Rod was everything to her but wouldn't admit it since she was only a maid, his personal maid. She thought about what he said, it made her smile, she nodded and giggled a little. "a King on vacation?" She said tilting her head, veronica had a very pure smile, full of friendship and love. "Id be stupid not to go, besides you treat me like an adult not a maid or something else.." She said simply.

"Id love to go Rodrick" She said softly.

Rod luaghed a little "I'm sure my advisors and the like could handle things themselves for a couple days." he says cheerfully. She looked so cute...

"And of course I treat you like an adult. We're freinds aren't we? After all that time I couldn't still think of you as just some maid..." he goes on, worried he'd dropped a bit of a hint in there. He so badly wanted to just kiss her. Just one small kiss to see how it'd go over...

"Next week, then. Just enough time o get everything in order." he says decisively, having to force himself to not lean over and gently press his lips against hers. But he couldn't... She was much younger... He'd known her since she was just a girl... She was in no position to marry him, she wasn't royal... But he wanted to none the less.

She smiled at him "your the only person who treats me like everyone else, that im more then just a maid." She said simply, but what he said, she smiled more. She walked in closer and gazing into his eyes, a kind look showing she understood him. She badly wanted to kiss him as well. "Im glad you want me" She said her way of dropping a hint.

He was smart enough to get her little hint. He'd already had a feeling she felt the same way he did and this just helped him corfirm it. But what now? Even if they both felt the same way about one another, the problems were still there, ween't they? What could he do? It wasn't as if he could resist those pretty eyes looking up into his. He leaned in close, closed his eyes, and gently pressed his lips to hers.

Veronica enjoyed the way he stared at her, stroking his cheek she sighed softly, when he went to kiss her, it felt so right. She closed her eyes as she felt his lips onto hers. She felt the kiss and it felt so right, she didn't care he was king and he didn't care she was just a maid. The heart wants what the heart wants" She said softly, when her eyes opened she smiled looking into his eyes.

Rodrick couldn't recall a more perfect momment then that in which his and Veronica's lips were locked together. It was a sweet and loving sort of kiss, acting almost as a confession of their feelings. When she spoke he smiled wide. She did love him, and he loved her, and he knew he had to find a way for them to be together. He nodded. "Yes." he said softly, putting his arms around her waist and holding her to him.

She couldn't help but melt into his arms, they were perfect and she didn't care what anyone thought about it. She loved this feeling, the feeling of being loved, she didn't feel this kind of love ever until now. She looked into his eyes. "Ive never felt this way with anyone before, im glad I feel this way with you" She admitted.

He heild her close. He wanted to feel this way forever. He kissed her head gently. "I feel the same, V." he said softly, not letting go, never wanting to let go. It didn't matter what anyone would say, he'd never felt love like this. It didn't need o be said, he knew she knew, but he whispered it into her ear anyway. "I love you."

She smiled at him and nodded she couldn't help but enjoy his touch. "Nothing will separate us" she said simply. "I want you and I will fight for you" She said softly, running her hand on his cheek, content and everything was perfect.

Rod ran his hand through her hair, every second feeling like blissful hours. For a while he just stood silently as h eheild her, ocasiionally giving her another little kiss on her lips, her cheek her neck, or her forehead. He'd completel lost track of time by the time he spoke again. "I promise, one day, you'll be my queen."

She smiled "I hope so but how ? Im a peasant, people in the castle just call me a servant. What ever happens or doesn't happen. I love you and I will never hurt you, betray you" she smiled.

Her every word made his heart flutter. "I'll fins a way." he whispered, before kissing her again, even longer.After that he looked into his eyes for a few more seconds before he started to wonder how long he'd been gone... He didn't wnat anyone to worry but he couldn't imagine being able to leave this spot.

She smiled "What you choose to do I will be by your side, you wont ever leave you" She said softly and everything seemed to just smile. So many times she thought of this, to be with him, to love him. He was a man, a man with a big heart, being king may have mattered to other people, but not her.

Rodrick loved listening to her every word, but knew this couldn't last all night. "We- we better get going. I don't want anyone to start worrying about me." he said, dissapointment clear in his voice. He sighs deeply "Lets go." His arms slowly move from around her to his sides and he walked, close at her side, back toward the palace.

She nodded and went on with the "Servant" title, walking like nothing had happened. She sighed some and noticed some people pass by them. With a smile she was humming "This is going to be a very interesting time sire" She said looking at him off and on.

He grinned at her. "Yes. I suppose you're right." he said a hint of mischeif in his eyes. The whole taboo was silly, and he'd enjoy it while he could. If he had his way, in just a few weeks he'd firmly annouce his intentions of marrying his servant. There'd be trouble but he doubted anyone would actually try and really stop him in the end.

She sighed and couldn't help but smile at him and nodded "god only knows what people think but I don't care what they say. If you don't care neither do I" She said softly running her hand down his cheek.

Enjoywd the last fe touches of her skin against his before they were inside the palace and difinatly being watched. They were back, now what? Would they go there seperate ways and pretend that hadn't happened until they found another private momment, or would they try to sneak somewhere together now?

She was formal when others were around. "Sire what should we do? since we are in a "situation" she said smiling so he would understand what she meant. She stopped and looked at him "it's up to you Sire" she said bowing her head because someone passed them.

Zak thought to himself. When they had first kissed he imagined that they'd part until their seclusive vacation, but he couldn't leave her side if he wanted to, he felt like it was nly right. He smiled back and avoiding everyone as he started leading her to the huge master bedrrom. He sat on the side of the bed and patted the seat next to him.

She smiled and followed him, the sound of her shoes making sounds with each step. When he opened up the big door she saw it was his bedroom. She saw inside the room, it was a very warm looking bedroom. When he sat down he saw he patted the spot next to him. She didn't even need to think about it she walked over. She removed her shoes and sat down beside him, a smile on her face.
