Midnight in the city.It was another cold dark place he found himself in and the scent of lust and death lingerd in the back ground.He'd grown used to both of them over the last year every since the troubles started,when superheros became the be all and end all of the news.Some had handled it better heck the top 5 books in the New York times list were either a super hero autobigraphy or a tell all book writen by an ex lover or sidekick wanting to cash in .He'd kept his silence hell he had his own problems. Leaping down the hero who used to be Kid X now without a name roomed the streets unsure of his own destiny.

This thread's set in a world of superheros/villans etc think Watchmen but not as violent and sex being a factor.I'm looking for players who may be intrested in joing this thread.Any questions please PM and I'd really like to give this thread a go.

Lisa is blond, 5ft 4 aged 24.

Lisa could hear footsteps behind her, as she rushed to get to her appartment.

Despite the fact you couldn't move for superheroes sometimes, the villians seemed to enjoy coming to the city and tanting them with high crime rates.

Ahead of her, she saw a young man, he looked dispondent, but at least he looked okay, it was the person behind her she was worried about.

She rushed up to him and asked "I'm kinda lost, can you tell me the where appartment block 55904 is?" she actually knew, but hoped the fact that she was talking to someone, would dissuade the would be muggers from attacking her. "Or maybe show me?" she hoped she wasn't sounding desperate.

He was surprised when this young women rushed up to him out of no where.She wasn't a reguler in this part of the city and the kind of target any small time mugger could go for.

"Um it's a couple of blocks away" he told her looking into her eyes.If he left her she had a slim chance of making it to her apartment without getting attacked."I'll walk you there come on" he took her hand and lead her down the path keeping his eyes open for any trouble.

She accepted his hand. Behind her she could hear the leering and cat calls "Run little mice, the cats are coming."

They hurried on, eventually reaching the appartment building.

She put her hand in her pocket and fumbled her key, finally getting it in the lock.

"Come in with me?" she asked, not liking the fact that this helpful stranger could be hurt for having helped her.

The would be muggers were nearing the bottom of the steps, starting to rush towards them, before their prey could get out of reach.

"Too late" he said as the muggers quickly came into view.He moved her beside the wall before blockiing an attempted knife shot.Twistiing the muggers arm back he heard him let out an expletive before the sound of fingers breaking filled the air.

He flung the mugger over as one of his pals lept onto his back trying to choke him down.Moving backwards he slammed back into the wall ripping some of it away as the muggers body went limp.The girl screamed as one of the gang grabbed her and held a knife to her throat.

"Let her go now" his voice rang out barely above a whisper.He could hear her heart was racing and the sweat from the gangs leader dripped down his temple.A flash of light then broke forth and the leader was down and unmoving.

"Can't stay here come with me" Kid X as he once was said.He swept the young women into his arms and then lept through the window and onto the rooftop not stopping always moving.

Lisa was shaking as she buried her head in his shoulder. This was the nearest she'd ever had to having her throat cut and reaction was setting in.

"Sorry to be so much trouble." she said quietly as she felt them leap another roof. She hated heights.

"Where are we going?" she asked, as the scenery seemed to rush past them.

"My place" he told her looking back to check no one was persuing them.He hoped that the cops would arrest the muggers and leave thibngs there before the press got hold of things.Though knowing his luck any super hero or worse villan might find out which was the last thing he needed.

After 10 minutes roof running they arrived at the back of a graphic novel store.Looking round he carried the young women inside and down via a secret entrance to his hide out.Scattering the papers with the latest hero gossip he sat her down on his couch."Wanna drink Miss?" he asked softly unsure what this lady went by.

"Lisa Drake, but you can call me Lisa. And yes a drink would br great. I'll have whatever you've got."

Lisa looked around. "Interesting, a Hero that likes graphic novels." She looked at him closely. "Aren't you....." she thought for a moment. "You're Kid X aren't you. I used to have the biggest crush on you." she then turned red at what she'd just admitted. "Um, you're still good looking and I ...."her words trailed off before she could dig herself any further into a hole.

"Drink would be good." she said, changing the subject and clearing a space on the sofa to sit on.

Of all the luck he thought as Lisa as she called herself blurted out she had a crush on him back when he was Kid X.Shaking his head he went and got the two of them a bottle of soda each casually flicking the tops off.

"So Lisa what was a nice girl like you dong in a rough neighbourhood like that" he asked her sitting down across from her and chugging down part of his soda.He let explian as he grabbed the paper.

"I had to move nearer my job, I couldn't afford to run a car anymore and it was one of the cheapest places going. If I could just save up some more, then I can move somewhere better, so hopefuly it should only be for about 6 months. Unless I suddenly get a raise."

She noticed that he was getting engrossed in the paper, something must have grabbed his attention.

She gave him a minute or so to read and then asked "anything interesting?"

He listened as Lisa told him how she'd ended up where he had ran into her.He symapthised as the cost of apartments had become to procey mostly due to most having to be in neighbourhood's where battles between super hero's and villans occured at least once a week.

"Only crazy stuff like this" he sighed turning the paper over to show Lisa.The heading was there bold as anything. Ultra Girl Sex tape-Superheroine in randy rump" it read . Other headline's that accompnied the piece were about the latest tell all book and which super hero was dating which.

"This is news and stuff like a major bank robbery foiled is on page 5 its crazy" he grumbled handing Lisa the paper and grabbing another paper to check if it had any other info that would peek his intrest.

"Maybe if some of them stopped thinking about themselves, then maybe the crime rate would actually go down around here." she suddenly realised who she was talking to and looked embarrassed. "Of course they're not all like that."

"So do you have a name I can call you, for some reason it feels wrong calling you 'Kid', not that you have to tell me if you don't want to."

Lisa flipped through the paper.

He nodded agreeing with what Lisa said about the crime rate.Indeed nodays most superhero's wouldn't deal with crims unless the camera's were there.

"My name is Andrew Maddox" he told Lisa.She was only a hanful of people who now knew his real name and he hoped she would keep it to herself."So Lisa anything else you want to know" Andrew asked finishing off the last of his soda.

"I have a million questions, but one will do for now. And you can tell me if it's none of my business, but, don't you fight crime anymore? Because your's is the one name that doesn't appear in the paper anymore. Or do you do it on the quiet?" asked Lisa taking another sip of her soda.

She knew she'd have to face the outside world, but for now she felt safe. A feeling she hadn't truly felt in a long time. She wished she could stay forever, but she knew that he must have had thousands of women throw themselves at him, many who were probably a lot prettier than her.

Andrew listned to Lisa's question and it was the most obvious question that she could ask of him.He sat back in his chair and thought silently for a moment before giving her his answer.

"I do it on the side but not much" he told her starting with the now as his thumb traced round his soda bottle."Pressure mostly superheroing isn't an easy job" he told her thinking about how close a number of supervillans had come to taking him out plus the clash of ego's he'd had with his fellow superhero's espcailly after the celeb factor grew to large.

"That an okay answer Lisa" he asked straing at her.She was pretty even comparing to other women who'd made his aquitence.He waited as the night dragged onwards for what she would say next.

"Do you think those men'll be gone? Only I probably should be getting home now." She didn't really want to go, but having blurted out that she used to have a crush on him, she didn't want him to think that she was pushing herself on him. For some reason, she couldn't fathom, she didn't want him to think badly of her, or that she was one of those simpering females often found in books.

"They'll be gone but the cops and who know else will have been there and may be waiting" Andrew told Lisa.A small usage of his own ablities would see to that beside it was safer for Lisa to lay low and stay with him.

"You better stay with me foe now" he said firm;y as if not wanting any argument.He gathered up her soda bottle and took it to the bin in the kitchen.Returning he looked at her figuring how how to arange things."I've only got one bed so I can sleep on the couch unless you don;t mind sharing" he murmed trying not to hint to anything more than that.

Lisa thought about volunteering to take the sofa, but it was full of clutter and she didn't want him to rearrange anything on her behalf.

"It's okay, we'll share the bed." the thought sending her heart beating, very fast. "It'll be more comfortable for both of us. To sleep, that is." she added quickly on the end, to make sure that he knew she wasn't suddenly going to jump him.

Andrew nodded agreeingand taking Lisa by the hand guided her to his bedroom."I get in this side he told her moving to the bed's righ.He let Lisa slide in 1st and soon followed before turning the light off.

He lay there listening quietly waiting for her to drift asleep 1st before nodding off.This had been the 1st time in a long time Andy had another in his bed without well a quickie in between.He turned over and watched Lisa as she slept or at least he hoped she had dozed off.

Lisa felt warm and comfortable and soon drifted off. But her dreams became nightmares, full of men chasing after her with knives. One caught her and she saw the knife coming down towards her, that's when she woke up, gasping for breath and shaking like a leaf.

"Sorry." she said, suddenly realising she wasn't alone. "Didn't mean to wake you."

Andrew looked at Lisa and smiled as she apolgised."No worries I wasn't sleeping much anyway" he told her.He moved round and wrapt his arms around her to comfort her.

The feel of her sking against his was inticing but Andrew didn't want to appear to be making a move on her so he just held Lisa in his arms waiting for her to calm.

The feeling of his arms around her made her feel so safe, she leant into his embrace.

Her hand stroked up his arm and then down his chest.

"Thank you for saving me." she whisphered looking up at him. His lips were so near. She leant up, it was meant as a gentle thank you kiss, but once their lips touched, she paused a moment, not wanting it to end and she wanted to see if he would respond or pull away. She didn't want him to feel that he had to go further if he didn't want to, and that she was throwng herself at him.

Andrew shivered as Lisa ran her hand over his arm then chest."Your welcome" he whispered back before their lips met.When she didn't move away he felt reached round and rubbed her back reaching into her dress.

Rolling them over Andrew moved to kiss along her neck then shoulders lowering more of Lisa's dress to free up her breasts."Do you want this" he whispered pausing for a moment his heart racing.

"Yes, I want you. I want to be with you." Just being with him, felt so right to her. She knew that she was falling for him, not Kid X, but Andrew, the man.

She pulled his head to hers, her mouth on his, showing him how much she wanted this, with a long deep kiss that set her heart racing.
