Now, admittedly, I don't know you @ all from being new on this blog and this quote you had posted is the first thing I've read that you've ever written. But, I must go with my gut instincts on this one. I want to encourage you to express yourself for who you truly are. Perhaps this is just another side of yourself that you're not used to expressing. With every fiber of my being, I believe that there is nothing weak or mushy about true caring and compassion. In fact, I believe it's just the opposite. Compassion is a very strong virtue, and it takes alot of courage to fully express it. You can certainly lead with a kind heart and a steady hand, without ever babying those around you. Mother Teresa led with compassion, caring for the poorest of the poor and the sickest of the sick in the streets of Calcutta, and I don't recall anyone ever calling her an emotional weakling or a constant enabler. But then again, who cares what people think. Be true to yourself, because your powerless over what others think of you anyway.

Oh yeah, one more point I would like to bring up. The people who posted before me can go bullshit on what I said all they want, I don't care. But it sounds like you're being pigeon-holed into having only one type of personality, and that's not right. Whatever their intentions, you don't have to listen to them and then blindly agree. Hell, you don't have to listen to me either. In the end, I hope you find it within yourself to lead with your heart.

Okay, I can get feisty on the internet, and I can get feisty where the rubber meets the road too. But this is not to say that anything I've written somehow proves my manhood, I'm just trying to make a point and I have nothing to prove. Compassion is manly, though. I'm not a doormat today, and you don't have to be either.
