[Mayu]

She had known Jack for a few years, they were very close and still are. He had brains and she had brains and a voice. She was a singer, one who sang in clubs, she wrote her own music and played it herself. She had just gotten out of a club and. Veronica was known as V everyone in the Jeffersonian, she walked up the stairs and right to the area were a badge was needed. She took it out of her pocket and was in. Jack had given her the badge a few months ago. But she heard something and followed it, she saw Jack and smiled. When she went in she saw a victim and saw the bones seeing many marks. She had read to many books and watched to much tv, then again she was extremely smart.

Veronica watched him work for a couple of minutes and when he looked up she smiled at him. She walked right up to him and hugged him. Looking down at the body she noticed something. Her brown eyes studied the body as she tied her shoulder length hair in a pony tail. "this guy was eaten alive" she shivered. "Damn, id guess a tiger or a bear" She said simply. Looking into his eyes again. "So how is the king of the lab doing today?" She smiled.

[Alsing]

Jack was working in the lab alone tonight. Although that wasn't unusual. He liked the lab and especially his work. It was a job he did because he wanted to do it not because he needed the money. Most people would think it was crazy to do this kind of work in general but especially when you were rich enough not to need to even work. But for Jack he couldn't imagine doing anything else.

The current case was a body found in a lion enclosure at the zoo. Jack was searching for any clues that might place the murder somewhere else. Behind him he heard the beep as someone swiped their badge. He didn't look up or say anything expecting it to be one of his co workers. Finally after a couple minutes he glanced up and looked surprised. "Hey Veronica. What are you doing here?" He asked quickly as she hugged him. When she touched him he felt that familiar longing for more. As always he shoved it back down. Veronica was way to young for him and he'd known her since she was in high school.

[Mayu]

Veronica smiled at him "I thought you may need some company" She said simply. And sighed some. "Beside I like hanging around you.." She said. She looked at him. "You know, we have been close friends for five years, but..." She looked down feeling her cheeks get warm. "I have feelings for you, I always have but because of the age difference...it doesn't matter to me..but ive been keeping this secret far to long." She was afraid to look up, afraid of rejection.

[Alsing]

Jack looked shocked. The coffession of feelings was the last thing he expected. Jack's face was set in a shocked expression with his mouth a little open. This young woman had just told him she had feelings for him. It was flattering and made him feel great but it seemed wrong some how. Yes she was legal and all that but still so much younger. "I'm flattered Veronica but that might just be a crush. It probably isn't real feelings." The comment probably sounded mean but he didn't mean it to.

[Mayu]

She looked up at him "I knew you would say that, I know you very well.." she walked up to him and stroked his cheek. "It's not a crush Jack, ive felt this way about you for at least two years" She sighed and turned away, how to make him understand, but something came from her heart. Her back facing him as she sighed.

"Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky. They wipe away tears that I cry.The good and the bad times, we've been through them all. You make me rise when I fall." she said not saying another word.

[Alsing]

Jack felt a tingle at her touch. So soft on his bearded cheek. It reminded him of what he felt when Angela touched him. Then hearing her words Jack could tell she meant what she said. The emotion in her voice was clear. It was deeper than a crush. How had he not noticed?

Walking up behind her Jack didn't touch her but stood closer than normal. "That is very nice. What is it from? Or did you make it up?"

[Mayu]

V turned facing him when she felt his touch, she looked into his eyes, content. She had no idea why Angela left him. She couldn't help but smile at him. "I made it up" She couldn't help but smile even more. "I love you Jack, I always have left you" She said sweetly. "you have been with me thru everything, you were there when I graduated school, there when my parents died. You mean everything to me.." she sighed.

[Alsing]

Jack wasn't sure what to say to that. It had been too long since he heard those words said to him. It felt so good. As she confessed her feelings to him Jack had to admit he had felt something for her too. At first something like a big brother might for a younger sister. Then as she got older and became a woman he had to admit he had looked at her differently.

After only a few moments of hesitation Jack realized he was kissing her.

[Mayu]

Surprise, she was so surprised that he was kissing him. She had never felt this way, some used to laugh because she is a virgin. It was strange to even think of that, but oh well she had all kinds of feelings. She closed her eyes, following his lead her eyes shut as she kissed him, the feeling of him close. Her arms wrapped around him, she was content, finally after all these years she was happy.

[Alsing]

Jack's hands were on her back pressing her into him. The kiss felt so good. He was rarely short on lovers but so few felt like this. So right. But it wasn't right. Jack reminded himself as his brain finally took control again. Reluctantly Jack pulled away and his hands slid down to rest on Veronica's waist. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that."

[Mayu]

she smiled, her first kiss felt so right, but when he stopped she stroked his cheek. Stroking his bearded face she couldn't help but smile. "I love you Jack" she said softly. "Don't be afraid to love me" She said softly. V wasn't afraid, she was content and just smiled listing to him, feeling his touch, she loved the feeling.

[Alsing]

Jack again felt something in him stir at her touch. She was so sweet and kind. Everything he could want. Still he felt like he was taking advantage of her. "Veronica you should be with someone your own age."

He saw the love in her eyes. Heard it in her voice. More than anything he wanted to accept it and love her back but was it right?

[Mayu]

V couldn't help but walk closer as possible, stroking her cheek yet again. But what happened she o next would shock her, she kissed him back, her arms around him but she knew everything was going to be ok. Stroking his cheek she couldn't help but feeling something inside her body. Something was reacting by Jack

[Alsing]

Jack felt her body so close. Her hand caressing his cheek. Then her lips met his. That was all it took to melt all resistance. He was hers. Jack's hands went to her back again and pulled her against him. This time his kiss was more passionate. His mouth devoured hers as his tongue caressed hers inside Veronica's mouth.

[Mayu]

Her arms wrapped around his body, she enjoyed the feel of him close. She couldn't help but melt in return. She held him as close as he did, her eyes closed. Enjoying the deep kiss that they were sharing. He took her to Passion, something she had never done before. When the kiss ended because both were running out of air she sighed happily. Looking into his eyes she knew it was right, she smiled.

"I love you Jack" V said

Jack didn't hesitate to say. "I love you too Veronica." The quickness that he said it surprised him. Those words were not ones he said lightly but to his amazement he meant them. He loved Veronica and realized that he probably had for longer than he knew. Their relationship had always been so close it only made sense that it was deeper than he thought.

"I really need to get this work done and this isn't really a good place to keep kissing." He said glancing at the bones. "Can you meet me after my shift?"

[Mayu]

V smiled at him, she enjoyed the three words "I Love You" She had never said that to anyone really. When he said something about the bones she turned seeing them. "Oh right, Sorry. Didn't mean to stop your work." She said softly. "Sounds good, how about we eat dinner? The restaurant we met at" She said softly. She kissed him on the lips once more and hopes that he wouldn't be gone long. "I could wait for you here, you know me Id have my nose in a book, nothing else to do" She giggled.

[Alsing]

Jack kissed her back and caressed her arm. "I'll be quick. Let me log my findings and clean up." Jack said then suggested. "You can wait in the lounge. I won't be too long. Then we'll get something to eat and talk about...this."

[Mayu]

V smiled and nodded to him "Sounds good Jack, take your time" She said sweetly and kissed him once more and left him be, she sat down in the lounge and began to read a book that she brought a book and began to read, she had begun to read it, the sound of people going back and forth seemed to stop all of a sudden and she yawned some relaxing, waiting for Jack.

[Alsing]

About thirty minutes later Jack walked over to where Veronica sat. He wore jeans with a brown belt, a dark blue shirt and a green jacket with a brown lining inside.

"Hey ready to go?" He asked giving her shoulder a light rub. "Hope you didn't get too bored waiting."

[Mayu]

Veronica looked up at him when he touched her shoulder and smiled, standing up she grinned. "No not at all, Ive been reading" She said simply and kissed his nose. She grinned and giggled, she looked down the street seeing the restaurant where they first met, as they walked she took hold of his hand, hoping he wouldn't mind.

"This is all new to me' she blushed.

[Alsing]

Jack walked with Veronica to the place they first met. She had recognized Doctor Brennen and was a big fan of her books. Veronica had also been interested in forensics. Of course Brennen had been her usual cold self but Jack had reached out to the girl and over the next few years gave her an inside look at what they did at the Jeffersonian.

Although back then he never expected to be walking down the street so close holding her hand. Not that he minded. Hearing her comment he smiled. "I find that hard to believe. Your way to pretty to not have guys fighting over you."

[Mayu]

V looked at him kindly and nodded "Don't worry about anything: She sighed about what he said and didn't talk she let him do all the talking, she tucked her strand of hair behind her ear, she was humming relaxing happily. Everything was nice, she sighed a bit leaning against the seat

[Alsing]

Dinner was great. Jack had a big smile on his face as he rambled on about bugs and rocks. Normally he was used to the women he was with to look bored or disgusted by the things he found interesting about how much you could learn from a simple grain of sand. Veronica instead seemed interested and occasionally would ask a question.

Once they were finished with dinner Jack walked back on to the side walk holding Veronica close to his right side with a hand around her waist. "That was a lot of fun." He said sounding like he wanted to do it again real soon.

V was always curious, she found everything interesting. Always asking questions, she thought his job was exciting. All thru the dinner they talked about everything, when they were out she saw his expression. "We need to do this again soon" She said softly. As he held her close she looked at him. She didn't want this to end, she cleared her throat and looked down. "well would you like to come over to my place for some...coffee" She blushed she couldn't look at him, the way she asked was damn stupid.
