It was night, and Kady Carlson was walking home from a Fraternity party her and her sisters in her sorority went to. Kady wasn't you're average 23 year old girl, even though she lived in Helena, Montana.. She had naturally straight brown hair that falls just below her shoulders, Light blue eyes, a perfect white smile. She stands at about 5 feet 8 inches, and weighs about 124 pounds. Tan skin from working outside back in Montana. Toned, slender legs. Smooth, toned abs, with her belly button pierced. She has a tattoo of a cross, and the date 'September 17, 2007' on her foot, the day her Mom died. She also has a tattoo of a small red heart just below her thumb. She has he ears pierced once as well. A lot of guys wanted her, mainly for sex, but she wasn't the type of girl to just sleep with anyone.

It was a chilly October night, around 40 degrees just after the sunset. She was wearing dark skinny jeans, a white tank-top, and a black dress shirt over. she also had on her favorite jacket, a grey knit one. She had black 3 inch heels, and her hair was curled, just for the party. Kady had 2 real boyfriends, one in high school, that lasted up until last year. The other.. Was a guy she met on a night like this one. He was 24.. he had been 24 for the past 150 years. Yes, he was a vampire, and nobody except her knew.

Kady was also a virgin, and He didn't know about it. He was charming, and sweet, and he let her into his life, just as she let him in hers. She sighed out, wrapping her sweater around her more, walking faster, still afraid of the dark. She thought she heard something behind her, but then she thought nothing of it. But, she felt someone's hands grab her from behind, Kady letting out a loud, sharp squeak.

David sat on a thick branch high in the air. The tree he leaned against was old even compared to him. David looked like your average twenty four year old. Young and handsome with a strong jaw and sandy blond hair. His eyes were mesmerizing and filled with intensity. His body was toned and deceptively strong. The only thing about him that stood out was his skin. It was much too pale as if it had not been kissed by the sun in years. Few knew the truth of the matter. That he had not seen the sun in a long time. A very long time. For a century and a half he had not felt the comforting warmth of the sun. His life had been restricted to the night.

David was a vampire. He had never even heard of a vampire when he'd been turned. Those first few years had been a time of confusion and pain. His mind seemed to fade as blood lust took him over. For decades David killed and lived as he pleased but seventy years ago he had decided to change. He fell off the wagon from time to time but had managed to go thirty years since his last taste of human blood. Mostly he managed that my avoiding human contact. That was until he met Kady. She had stolen his heart at first glance and even though he tried to avoid her for fear of what he would do to her David couldn't stay away. Hoping she would fear him and flee David had eventually shared the truth about him but instead she didn't seem to care. That had only made David care about her even more.

Kady was at a party tonight and David waited for her to head home. He had in interest in interacting with so many people. Finally he saw her coming and like a cat landed on his feet soundlessly. David wore a pair of black slakes and a white button down shirt. The top two buttons were open revealing a little of his hairless chest. Silently by nature David crossed the distance to Kady and wrapped his arms around her waist. Knowing she'd cry out his right hand gently covered her mouth. His head was resting on her shoulder and his whispered. "It's me." He assured her in his soft voice.

Kady heard his voice as she felt a hand move over her mouth, reaching up for his hand he removed it, turning around to look up at him. "David! Don't do that to me! I could have a heartattack or something." She said, hitting his chest looking as she moved a hand up, moving it through her hair taking deep breaths to lower her heartbeat. She looked up into his eyes, the ones that make her breathless, and she smiled. "Why are you out here anyways?" She asked, moving her hands to his waist, pulling her body closer to him.

Kady loved the feel of Davids body against hers. It made her feel safe, even though she was very fragile compared to him. "It's cold out here.." She said softly, closing her eyes taking in his scent. David was the one person that made her happy even when everything was making her sad. He had this was of making everything feel fine. She leaned her head against his chest, listening to the quiet night that surrounded them.

David hardly even felt the blow to his chest but he did feel her touch on his face and when she rested against him. Silently he savored her touch for a few long moments. His hands sliding around her waist again. He held her close never wanting to let her go. David had been with so many women in his long life including other vampires who were experts at sex and seduction but no one had ever made him feel like Kady did. While he still feared for her safety he knew he could not lose her. Eternal life without her seemed unbearable.

"I am sorry for frightening you. It is late and I do not think it is safe for you to walk home alone." His arms loosened around her and David offered Kady his arm. "May a gentleman offer a lovely lady an escort home?"

She shook her head, laughing softly.. "You can always make up for it. I'm expecting you to." She laughed, accepting his arm. "And I would love it if you escorted me home. It makes me feel safer." She said softly, walking slowly with him. She enjoyed the moments like this between him, it felt like they were a normal couple. She sighed contently, looking over a David. "You know, it'd be easier for you to blend in if you at least would dress warmer." She said.

She smiled, grabbing his hand. "Do you know what sucks the most? I can only see you at night it seems.. you have no idea how much it makes me think about you during the day." She pouted, squeezing his hand lightly

David gave her a warm smile as she suggested he dress warmer. He didn't feel hot and cold like most people. To him it was perfectly comfortable to dress like this. Almost in any weather. Since becoming a vampire dressing in thick clothing felt so oppressive.

"I know how you feel. While I'm stuck inside all day you're all I think about. You have no idea how many times I've considered risking being turned into ash just to see you."

She laughed softly, shaking her head. "You know you can't do that, I don't know what I'd do if you walk out in the sun." She said, letting go of his hand, as she moved her arm around his waist. "Do you think I can stay the night, All the girls at the sorority are going to be drunk.." She asked, feeling a slight breeze, her shuddering.

"Plus. I think. It's closer. And It's like, freezing out here!" She said, his body feeling warm to her. "And I never get to come over. It's like, forbidden or something."

David's smile faded a bit as she asked if she could spend the night. When possible David tried to be with Kady places where they could not get too close. It was just too risky. When they were together he constantly heard the beating of her heart and smelled her rich blood. His love for her overrode his instincts to bite into her throat and drain her dry but it was hard sometimes.

"Are you sure you think that is a good idea? We'd be all alone and I might take advantage of you." He joked. David knew she had not had sex yet and that she wasn't ready. He hoped warning that her virginity was in danger rather than her life would be enough to give her a second thought.

Kady felt disappointed, swallowing hard. "I'll just go back to the house then.." She said quietly, looking down at the cement. After 8 months together, Kady and David haven't spent the night together. She knew deep down, that he didn't want the chance of hurting her. "I don't know what I was thinking." She added, letting go of his body, as she pulled her sweater over her tighter.

She sighed, holding it with one hand as she moved the other up, and through her hair.

He was invulnerable to a lot but more deadly that the sun to David was seeing his love disappointed. Spending the night was risky but he could probably behave himself and she was hardly strong enough to force him to do anything. David didn't consider that reasonable thought was not likely to be in stock once they were alone in private.

Sighing David put his arm around Kady's waist. Pulling her gently back to his side David said. "I was just teasing. If you want to spend the night that is fine." She would probably be stubborn but at least David gave her the option. At least to him that would give her less reason to be mad. At least in a perfect world it would.

She looked up at him, into his eyes. "Do you mean that? I can actually stay?" She asked, a smile growing on her face. "I just want to spend more time with you, that's all." She added, stopping as she turned to face him, moving her arms around his neck. "Have I told you.. how much I love you?" She asked in a soft voice looking up into his eyes.

The cold air blew against her skin, but it didn't seem to matter at that moment. It was like time had frozen, and all that mattered was David. "I promise not to do anything to make you uneasy."

Hearing her say those three words made him feel so great. It was such a simple phrase but it moved him so much. "I love you too Kady." David said before he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. It was a sensual kiss that seemed to last forever. Breaking it after only a few seconds he said. "You can stay. I want to spend more time with you too. You know why I worry though."

David was going to argue that she should be afraid but he stopped caring as she kissed him back. He'd had so many lips go where hers were now but non of them felt like they belonged there like hers did. His right hand caressed her cheek and his left slipped to her back pulling her against his body. This time he did not break the kiss. She had started this one and David was going to let her get her fill.

David knew what was going to happen if he took her home in the shape they were in. "Are you sure? We don't have to." His tone was a little husky and it was clear he wanted her so badly. Even so he wasn't going to take advantage of her. If she wanted to give herself to him he would happily accept that gift but not unless she would have no regrets afterward.

Kady nodded, sure of what she wanted to do. "I love you, David. I've never loved someone like I love you. You've made me very happy. And... I think I've been saving myself for you." David closed his eyes as she kissed him and felt his need for her rise. When she said that she wanted him David believed her. For the first time since they had met David knew she was ready to give herself to him. David had waited for this eagerly and now that it was finally here he hardly believed it. Breaking their kiss David bent and swept her up in his arms. One arm under her legs and the other supporting her shoulder.

Running fast things whipped by Kady in a blur. Soon they reached David's house. It was two stories and painted white. It was not overly fancy which was how David liked it. He didn't like to attract a lot of attention. Walking inside David carried Kady up the stairs and laid her down on his large bed. Climbing on top of her David resumed kissing his love.

As soon as Kady felt the bed beneath her, she wrapped her legs around his waist, pressing her body tightly against his. She felt his lips touch hers, as she kissed him back deeply, her arms wrapping around his neck.
