Well, if it will make you feel a little more part of the real world, I applied at the electronics section cash register of WalMart about a year ago and got a WalMart credit card.
Had to have one.

I went to a wal-mart a few years ago when I took a road trip out into fly-over country. I got a dozen pair of socks for $5.99! We don't have Wal-Marts here, just CostCo.

Thanks for the reminder. Winter's a coming and I need new socks!
You can thank St. Pete and me later for keeping this thrilling thread alive.

What's wrong with Starbuck's? It's great coffee, a great company that treats its employee's and suppliers well, and is a good corporate citizen.

Fuck.
You had a valid opinion on the product, and I was preparing to argue in favor of higher prices for doing things as a private enterprise that conservatives oppose the government doing.
Can you edit your post and say that Starbuck's sucks because it's overpriced?
I like coffee so strong it makes the hair on my ass tingle, and a cup of Americano certainly does that.

I don't know that the big deal is about their coffee. I can get a stronger, better-tasting, far cheaper cup of joe at any corner deli or bodega in NYC.

Sounds like you made Starbucks a lot of money by buying their shitty coffee over and over again. Idiot.

That said, they are usually generous with the keys to the shitter and that means a lot in this town.

What you need is a cup from the mess decks at 0200 hours from USS ANYSHIP about 3 months into a WESTPAC. Damn near unstirrable.

The pimply barista behind the counter is no reason to put up with shitty coffee, much less shitty instant coffee.

Totally...
Where were they in 1993 when I was still doing harsh drugs? It would take me an hour to find a hiding spot while walking the streets.

If you are ever looking for me, don't bother looking on a ship. I'm scared of the water and stay away from any body of water where I can't touch bottom.

Every time someone mentions a WESTPAC it makes my knees weak.
That said - I hate coffee, even the smell of it. I'm a tea drinker. Wimpy, I know.

Thailand, Phillipines, Austraila, Hong Kong, Bali, etc. Yes, my knees get weak also.
I take it you were a WESTPAC widow?

I were, but are no more. I still long for it though - which is bizarre since I moved back into civilian life and relationships almost 5 years ago. I went on a submarine tour this past summer and got to smell that delicious Amine (aimine? Aymine?) smell... made me want to strip down right there on the dock and find the closest sailor to enjoy.
