Clearly a Darwin Award nominee, but I also question a township that hands out such licenses to individuals.

those poor animals. a cage that small? damn, I don't know why it didn't attack earlier. Such a shame it had to die but then what would it have been fit for? nothing. I really don't feel sorry for such a stupid person, though peraps we should be more merciful in condemning ignorance. after all, most of us are ignorant about some thing or another. But the licenses - they should only be granted if the cages meet requirements above what she was providing. Otherwise it's as torturous as the old-fashioned zoos everyone wanted to save the bears from not so very long ago.

forgot to mention - keeping them in cages this way sucks completely anyway.

This woman might actually have been dumber than that grizzly guy they made the documentary about. It's a close call.

True what was the city or state thinking when they gave her a license to have these animals. Did they not investigate where she would be keeping said animals?

The second thing though is how in the world did she get the lion or the tiger, I understand how she could have acquired a bear because it is native.

And dog food? Seriously.

A Bear is NOT a pet!!!. It's a potential rug just waiting to be shot!!!!

The SO and Spawn tend to humanize animals. You can't do that. I love my big mutt, but when he gives me a low growl when I push him because he's hogging the bed. I put him in his place, and remind myself, he's still an animal.

Now idiots that do that with more wild animals like bears, are just fucking dumb.

Bears are exhibits, not pets.

Polar bears, cuddly and cute,
warm and fuzzy on a cold winters night,
only a Buck three eighty a pop,
be a seal and make the deal.
