Laker has vacuumed the whole house top to bottom and was hungry, she went to the fridge but all that was available were instant dinners, guess it was time to go shopping. She left the house and drove thru the misty weather to the supermarket. Walking up and down the aisles she started to plan a meal in her head. Roast beef, mashed potatoes, candided carrots, and yorkshire pudding. For dessert she was planning on making a cherry chessecake. Her thoughts turned dark and weird. She was just cooking for her and her brother so why was she going all out. Shaking her head she went thru the checkout and after paying for everything loaded it into the car and drove home. She grabbed one of the bags and went inside to the awful smell of instant food. "Hey Nick, go grab the last bags from the car would you and I will make a real supper tonight! And becareful its starting to rain out!"

She started to busy herself by getting the roast pan out and unwrapping the roast. "You wanna peel the spuds for me?"

Laker took the brandy from his hand and took a good swallow. The roast was on, he had peeled the potatoes and along with the carrots were cooking on the stove. She threw together the cheese cake and put it in the fridge to harden. Laker let out a big sigh, "hey I need to wind down, wanna join me in the hottub? I figure we got about 45 mins with everything on low and whatnot till I have to come back in here." Without waiting for an answer she went into her bedroom and got her her bathing suit. She went down into the recroom and climbed into the hottub, a small sigh of contentment escaping her lips.

"I mean youve been in the house most nights, the phone hasnt been ringing off the hook for you, and I havent been getting ugly looks from girls, you not dating anyone?"

Just then they heard an alarm go off, jumping out of the hot tub she ran to the kitchen to find smoke billowing off the stove burner. It seems that the potatoes boiled over. She removed the pot and cleaned up the mess. "Hmm guess I need a bigger pot"

After that they got the smoke cleared out of the room and everything was good.

Then the timer sounded for the oven and she ambled into the kitchen to see how things were going. The roast was cooked the way they liked it, and everything else was done. Nick had come out and he had a towel around himself but Laker could still see a slight bulge in the middle. She smiled as she set the table and they sat down.
"Pass the butter would you Nick?" She asked
