Kind of like at those kids age they forced me to sing o holy night, away in a manger, little town of bethleham, away in a manger, silent night, o christmas tree, shes a grand old flag, sea to shining sea, america the beautiful and other "indoctrination" songs.
I see your point and I think it to be an isolated incedent but that wont stop the board retards from saying how its evil and bad even though for every year in school i was forced to give an oath to god to torwards this country in a public school.(the irony of forced patriotism and using gods name in a government run school was not lost on me as a child)
Go ahead and complain about it. I would rather hear that than most of the shit played on the radio today.
BTW vetteman beat you to this karen but he used the nazi reference in his title. He is so classy.

Bald flattern Obama-fahnen über allen Strassen.
But it's so easy to sing along, once you learn the lyrics:

Funny thing: Were there alot of songs praising past dear leaders? Like Clinton, Nixon, Bush? Maybe I was out of town during that phase....
... or something.

They should be using the Orff Approach like most other American schoolkids, never mind that it was developed by a Nazi.

I dunno.
I think there might be vocal range issues with some of the younger kids; what do you think:

I think all those kids singing "I'm a little teapot, short and stout" just set the stage for a generation of rotund Americans.

Some other songs we sing:
The people’s flag is brightest red -
it helps us earn our daily bread
Though skinflints mock and Tories jeer -
the licence fee is not that dear.
The licence fee! The licence fee!
It pays the bills for you and me!
A hundred and thirty quid a year - will keep the red flag flying here!
From single mums in Bethnal Green -
our expense accounts and limousines
If they don’t pay the licence fee -
it’s jail and chuck away the key
For posh school fees and winter sports -
we need to add a few more noughts
Our pensions are inflation free -
all paid for by the licence fee.
The licence fee! The licence fee!
Don’t take away our licence fee!
A hundred and thirty quid a year - will keep the red flag flying here!

Where was the outrage over the Katrina Kids serenading President and Mrs. Bush at the 2006 White house Easter festivities with a rousing song about how President Bush, Congress, and FEMA *snort* did such a smashing job in the aftermath of the hurricane?

I'm curious to know...Where are kids supposed to learn about patriotism, different religions and stuff?
TV?
They are NOT going to learn about it in most homes!
And them that do teach their kids, sometimes forget to mention that their's might not be the only choice one can make.
I say teach it all and let the growing up kids chose their own brand..after knowing all about them from school.

Part of the job of the education system in most places is to "enculturate" kids to form identification with the nation, tribe, ethnic group, etc. To distinguish that sort of thing, which is extremely common throughout the world, with the other type of phenomenon is important.
One one hand, children are taught to love their country, obey religious doctrine (in sectarian states), praise the military or their activities, etc. On the other hand, in some places the praise and adoration is toward individuals. High religious-like praise for individuals is most common in totalitarian states (hence the popular notion of "Big Brother," the recognized-as-fictitious SYMBOL of the state or state power who everyone adored).
Modern societies tend to prefer adoration reserved either to the state itself or to the highest office of the state. Showing love and respect for the President of the United States and showing such adoration for the person of the office holder are completely different ideas.
Children ought not be taught to adore individuals in a democracy for the simple reason that those individuals eventually are replaced by other individuals. Thus, loyalty and adoration should be reserved for the OFFICE of the praise-recipient, not the person.
Alexander, Caesar, Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, Emperor Shōwa, Kim Jong-il, and so on fall into the personal adoration category.
The president of the United States ought not fall into that category.
