Tom Henderson had had the hots for Ms. Weathers since the first day of fourth grade, when she was his teacher. Over the years, he came to realize many men must have been attracted to the young woman, who was then a shapely, bright-eyed 26-year old, fresh out of teaching school. At the same time, Tom moved on to middle and high school, and was now home for summer vacation from the state college, and in the mean time, had met plenty of girls who caught his attention, so, although he was turned on every time he thought of her, the memory of Brittany Weathers had faded somewhat.
So it was a shock for Tom to find himself in the local chain bookstore, ten years later, when he saw Ms. Weathers for the first time since high school graduation, her head down in a book. Tom was caught completely nervous and off-guard, so he moved on to another aisle, before Ms. Weathers could look up and see him. But, sure enough, five minutes later, he found himself in another aisle, this time in the corner of the large store, with Ms. Weathers browsing down the aisle toward him. This time, she looked up from the shelves, and saw him.
"Tom Henderson! How are you??" She touched him on the shoulder, sending waves of excitement through his body. She gave him that same, heart-melting smile, and he couldn't help smiling back. He wondered how she was doing- Was she married? Did she have kids? Was she still living in town? The answer to one question remained clear- she was still incredibly attractive. Looking at her, it was like nothing ever changed. Except, of course, it had. No longer a cootie-fearing fourth-grader, Tom was now considered quite attractive, although he didn't let it get to his head.
"I'm..." Tom started to say, "I'm doing alright. I'm up at State right now. How are you? It's been a while."
