Looking for Love

I was never one to go to parties. I was a bit of a homebody well, not really. I just enjoyed my work. I was a lawyer and there was something about seeking justice than I found pleasurable. My best friends dragged me to this club because ever since my divorce, they said I needed to find a hot, single guy. In their words I hadn't "gotten any" in awhile. And maybe that was true. Sure, "getting some" would be good but I wanted more than that. I walked into the club in my pink blouse, jeans and black boots. I scanned the room with my eyes and saw these young guys grinding on these girls with very little clothes on. This wasn't my type of place. I ordered a glass of wine as I grabbed a table towards the back.

Jack sat alone at the club. He had been dragged here against his will. The mid twenties dark haired man wasn't really into the club scene. The music and smoke didn't appeal to him. The women too were usually not his type. Still he was here since his friends refused to take no for an answer.

They had insisted since Jack had not been out with a woman in six months. His last relationship had ended bad and Jack had really been in love. They had been planning to marry when his ex met another guy and left him. The experience had left Jack feeling depressed and not willing to give love another shot. Over the months that pain had all but gone but he was still hesitant to risk it happening again.

Dressed in a pair of black pants and a dark blue dress shirt his eyes scanned the crowd. Jack was a handsome guy and his friends claimed he could get anyone he wanted if he would just try.

Jack wasn't planning to even do that. While his friends danced he was just going to sit here and wait until it was time to go. That is until his eyes fell on a woman wearing a pink blouse.

Erika sat at the table, sipping her glass of wine. She wished her friends would be done here soon so that she could go home. She pushed her black glasses from her nose, they had fallen down a bit. She swirled the red wine in the glass a bit. This wasn't her type of scenery. She didn't date, usually, either. She saw a rather nice man looking at her. She pretended as if she wasn't looking at him either but on occasion, she let her eyes drift over to him.

Jack watched Erika for a few minutes. He wanted to go over and talk to her if only for some company. Jack hesitated though. Would she mind if he came over? Even if she didn't Jack wasn't sure what to say. He hadn't talked to a woman like that in a while. After noticing her glance at him a few times Jack decided to take a chance. Maybe if he talked to someone his friends would be satisfied and he could go.

Stopping at the table Jack asked. "Would you mind if I sit with you?"

"Of course not, go ahead." She smiled a bit. "By the look on your face, it looks like you were dragged here by your friends." She said. "I'm in the same boat as you." She smiled softly. She offered her hand. "Name is Erika."

Jack laughed when she guessed right. "I'm Jack." He said shaking her hand gently. After sitting down he looked at her and nodded. "Yeah I got dragged her kicking and screaming. I never really got into places like this. Too loud and crowded."

"What a nice bunch of friends we have?" I laughed softly. "Yeah, I agree." She said a bit nervously. "It's always too loud and crowded..and more often than not, the other person is drunk."

Jack was feeling more comfortable now with Erica. She seemed really nice and didn't want to be here anymore than he did. "Well if we are stuck here maybe we can keep each other company until our friends decide to end our suffering." He suggested hopefully but trying to seem like it was no big deal if she wanted to be alone.

"I've been wanting to dance all night and the right guy hasn't seem to come along." I tell him. "Would you like to dance with me?" She asked with a smile. She would understand if he turned her down.

[Alsing]

Jack nodded without hesitation. Then he said. "I'd love to but I'm not any good." Standing he offered Erika his hand. "But if you are willing to risk a few stepped on toes we can give it a shot."

"I think I can deal with that." She smiled as she took his hand in hers. They walked out to the dance floor. She wrapped her arms around his neck, slowly moving her hips to the music.

Jack put his hands on her hips and moved with her to the music. He was a little stiff at first as he tried to get into the rythem of the song and match her movements. Soon he was moving with more grace but clearly didn't have much dancing skill. As they moved across the dance floor Jack looked at Erika and found something stir inside that he hadn't felt in a long time. It excited and scared him at the same time.

She blushed a little as she saw him looking at her. She continued to move softly with him, her body making slow movements. Her arms kept wrapped around his neck, smiling as she danced with him.

Jack smiled when he saw her blush. He was happy to see she seemed to be enjoying his attention. With his arms holding her the pair continued to dance until the music ended and another started. Jack wasn't sure how long she wanted to dance but was willing to stay here the rest of the night if she wanted.

She smiled as she moved her hips slowly with her arms wrapped around his neck. She liked how this felt with him. She moved slowly with him. Her hair fell a bit over her eyes.

Jack had moved a little closer to her as they danced to the new song. He was feeling a lot more comfortable with Erika and was enjoying the dance more than he expected. Seeing her hair fall into her face he gently swept it behind her ear with a hand before he leaned close to her face. At first it looked as if he was going to try and kiss her but his mouth went past her face to her ear. "Having fun?" He asked over the music.

She smiled at his touch. She felt his warm breath at her ear. "I'm having a really good time. Thanks to you." She smiled again. She danced slowly with him, smiling.

Jack moved back from her a comfortable distance and continued to dance. As they went he started to forget the people around them and just focused on Erika. She was very lovely and seemed very sweet. For the first time tonight he was glad his friends dragged him here.

They continued to move very slowly to a slow dance song. Her forehead was leaned against his as their hips moved together. Her lips were very close to his, not not exactly touching..not yet, anyway.

Jack closed his eyes as they danced and let his body move on it's own. He was having an amazing time and wondered why he ever resisted coming here. Although it was only this great thanks to the beautiful woman he was holding. After a few minutes his eyes opened and saw her lips so close to his. Jack's heart beat kicked up a little more. More than anything he wanted to kiss those perfect lips. Was it too soon? Probably but Jack didn't care at the moment. Leaning in to close the distance he gently pressed his lips to Erika's. He used very little pressure and wasn't forceful so she could pull away if she didn't want to return the kiss.

She kept her arms wrapped around his neck as they swayed to the music together. She felt his lips press down on hers. It took her by surprise but either way, she welcomed it. She kissed him back, slowly and meaningfully.

Jack's heart started to beat again as she kissed him back. For a moment he was worried he'd crossed a line and she would be angry. The last thing he wanted was to ruin this perfect evening. What he wanted was Erika and as she kissed him back Jack pulled her closer so their bodies touched and kissed her a slowly and softly.

"Jack.." She said in a bare whisper, as she moved closer to him. She felt as if they were the only two in the room. She kissed him again but, this time, she allowed her tongue to move passed his lips, and into his mouth.

Jack enjoyed the feeling of a soft female body pressing against him. And hearing a feminine voice say his name in that tone. It excited him and his erection was now pressing against her stomach. As she slipped her tongue into his mouth Jack slipped his out and slid it across hers.

She moved her hand to his face, softly touching and caressing his cheek. She let her tongue move softly in his mouth, the music of the room filling her ears, but the attraction she felt towards this stranger was more important. She didn't want this kiss to end because it was something she hadn't felt in a long while.
