Unforseen perk of Swine Flu
Spiked wine?
----
Fortified wine to prevent spread of swine flu: Church of Sweden
A number of Swedish churches have decided to serve fortified wine during communion in hopes of reducing the risk of spreading swine flu, according to several media reports.
Church authorities hope that fortified wine will provide better protection than light or alcohol-free wine against the spread of swine flu when the communion cup is passed around.
Karlskoga church in central Sweden has decided to reintroduce fortified wine and the issue is also being debated among parishes in Piteå in northern Sweden.
“We will have a vicars meeting where we will discuss this issue. Everything points to the fact that we will decide to reintroduce fortified wine during communion,” dean Stieg Berggren told Piteå-Tidningen newspaper.
The question of whether or not to serve fortified wine remains a local one.
“At the national level, we haven't made any recommendations about fortified wine,” Stefan Håkansson, press secretary at the offices of the Church of Sweden, told TT news agency.
Several churches have recommended that visitors shouldn't partake of communion at all to prevent the spread of swine flu.

For those of you who have young children...the swine flu vaccine in 1976 killed more than did the actual swine flu.
The Mercury content of flu shots is 10,000 times more hazardous than the accepted levels of Mercury in food.
The 'new' vaccine has not been prepared or tested as of yet and will not be available until approximately November.
Do your own search, you would just question and quibble over mine.

I always get sick after taking a flu shot... therefore I haven't taken one in several yrs. I haven't gotten the flu either in several yrs. I think we as a society should take precautions to stop the prevention of germs .. there are all kinds of germs out there so far more serious than swine flu. But I'd like to share a graphic about swine flu. It's clean, funny..

So, um, what makes it "fortified"?

We didin't take the wine at all for a month about we've gone down to 'amber' alert now. Which means our vicar has to use the hand gel stuff before he hands out the bread. We weren't allowed to shake hands during the peace either, which I thought was a little over the top, especially as we've not had a single case of swine flu at our church yet but there you go. They have to be seen as doing something about these matters I suppose.

They just need to use those little disposable cuppy thingies common in the US. No communal cup, no spread of germs. Back to the boring grape juice.
And Amicus, I have no trouble at all believing you.
