The beginning of hel-I mean school year

It seemed to be a rule that most people followed as they entered their year of High school, that everyone was to be catagorized into a special group, and stay that way for the nremainder of their young lives. Mental scaring and dignity shattering for some, but an easy road to others.

The most popular group, stereotypically, were the jocks, which, of course, no one messed with, the teachers loves, and got all the girls they could possibly imagine, and the cheerleaders, the female equivalent to the jocks. All the way at the bottom of the foodchain...

Was Warr.

Warr was in a little group all his own. Not smart enough to be a geek, not dumb enough to be a class clown. Not atheltic enough to be a jock, and yet not lazy enough to be a comic book/trekkie. Not cute enough to be a bad boy, not ugly enough to be...well, ugly enough.

He wore the usual thing he always did, gray hoodie, blue jeans, pencil behind his ear, notebook in his hand. Quiet as a churchmouse, and yet he seemed to be the target for all the pranks.

Justy anorher year for Warr, but at least it made him happier to think the happiest 3 words of his life...

Camilla got out of her car and grabbed her bag. Ah senior year. It felt so nice to finally reach it. Less classes, which meant leaving at midday and no class on Fridays, and more time to practice. Swimming was her thing, and her body showed it too. She wasn't skinny by a long shot, her Latin curves making sure of that, but her dark skin was toned thanks to all her training for meets. Her long, dark brown hair brushed her lower back as she walked, a simple pair of jeans and black t-shirt hugging her body as she made her way inside the grounds.

It always surprised her the way her peers divided themselves. She could see different little groups here and there, essentially ignoring the rest. She didn't think she was popular, she just said hi to everyone that made eye contact with her and sat at whatever table beaconed her over at lunch. So she guessed that she was a 'wallflower'.

Just as she reached her locker and opened it, her eyes met with a guy's. He was wearing a hoodie and jeans. She smiled at him and started grabbing her books.

And so his eyes met with Camilla, as the guys put her, the wallflower. She was an atractive little thing, he was commenting on her. Plenty of curves, nice, tan skin, and...well, everything else a guy could want in a girl.

Of course, he could never talk to her, he was too shy, she was too pretty and sexy and he knew that deep down he was never gonna get a chance with h--

And then she smiled at him.

What was this feeling? Hope? He didn't know. Either way, she smiled at him, and continued to grab her books.

He'd need to pay attention as this moved on...

Grabbing her schedule, she gave it a look over and slipped the appropriate books into her bag. Biology, study hall, English then lunch and practice. Sounded good to her. Her hand reached for a pair of chopsticks she always had lying about and, with quick, practiced movements, she held her long hair in a messy bun with them. A few strands were bound to stay loose, brushing along her cheeks and collarbone, but she ignored them as she closed her locker and made her way to her first class.

Saying hi to a couple of students that were already there, she made her way to an empty table, settling herself in one of the two chairs. As she waited, she took out a novel she had been reading and entertained herself as she waited for the class to start.

Warr didn't make it to class until the very last minute. He was of course yelled at by the teacher, a brief lecture about being late, shaping up your attitude, so on and so forth. Either way, Warr couldn't care less.

He walked down the aisle, and, on the way there, was promptly tripped by one of the bigger jocks. Having been use to initial punishment, he rose up and sat down in the only table available at the time.

Beside the tan girl. He didn't say anything and just put his notebook and pencil on the table.

Cam looked up from her book, having heard a commotion as she read. It was really a miracle she did though, so immersed she would become in her reading. Her took in the whole fuss the professor made as the hoodie guy she had seen earlier in the hall came in late. She also watched him get tripped by one of the jocks. Jason, she thought his name was. As soon as said jock looked around, trying to see who was laughing, she glared at him, watching his smile disappear and a light blush color his cheeks as he turned to face the front.

She said nothing as the guy sat next to her and the first few minutes of class passed. Catching his eyes once again, she gave him a friendly smile. "Hi, I'm Cam. Looks like we're gonna be partners this year."

He looked at her from the corner of his eye and nodded. Her smile was enough to make him blush. A smile rose form his lips, but it was very small, hard to detect.

"Mhm." he nodded. "It looks like it." He opened his notebook, and began to write in it. 'Names Warr."

Cam smiled and turned her attention to the front of the class in time to hear the teacher say they would be watching some movies. Stifling a groan, she pulled out her notebook and rested her head on her arm, waiting patiently.

Once it started, she silently took notes.

Warr continued to scribble away at his note book, his eyes focused and intent on the drawings he was doing. That's what he did while he wasn't studying or taking tests, he drew. And not to blow his own horn, he was pretty damn good. occasionally, his eyes drifted over to the frankly hot girl beside him. His eyes drifted down to his paper again a moment later though. Habits die hard.

He continued to draw as the movie, he didn't know what the hell it was about, something about the anatomy of some animal, potentially frogs. Well, it was Biology, so of course that was gonna be it. His eyes lookedc up once to see, indeed, the knife going into a frog. He looked down imiediately down to his paper again. Hello nightmares..

Cam's eyes started straying from the tv as she quickly lost interest on what was being shown. Hurray for more frog guts she thought sarcastically as she glanced at Warr. He seemed quite entertained on his notebook. Curious, she brushed her hand lightly along his arm to get his attention. At his startled look, she only smiled.

"Do you mind if I have a peek?"
