A Conundrum - OOC
Hmmm. I find myself bored right now. I could come up with a new thread and post it up.
On one hand I'm a bit overcommitted as it is with the threads that I am active in. Should they all become active simultaneously I'll be too busy to do them all justice.
On the other hand, I've timed these threads well with others schedules so I am able to post with different people at different times of the day.
On the other hand I have nothing else to do right now.
On the other hand I have committed to a number of threads that aren't active yet.
On the other hand I have a few more thread ideas that I could post up.
On the other hand I already have threads out there that no one has expressed interest in.
On the other hand this has cleared up a bit of boredom.
Which is a plus.
Thoughts?

I can relate. A week ago I was feeling a little over committed and now I seem to find myself leveling out quickly. I suppose that is how it goes... threads start and sometimes end just when they begin.

Your opening post did make me chuckle. Your monologue reminded me of Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof" when his daughter wants to marry the tailor instead of the butcher. ("On the other hand, he has absolutely nothing. On the other hand, things could never get worse for him, only better.")
My 25˘: One-on-ones don't have to move as fast as some of the frenetic group threads on this forum, so you could take your time OR join a slower-moving group?
No matter what anyone advises, you're the one who knows what you're happy with and are able to do.

I find myslef in a position where I haven't slept in 26+ hours. I haven't written any decent story content in the last 8 or so. I will get some sleep and write with you all in the afternoon or evening or whenever I wake up. I'm not setting an alarm.

I was working on an Idea that I was going to call "JLA High," basically the characters from the JLA set in high school. But I hate running group threads, so instead I dropped it. If someone else wants to run with the idea, they are welcome to it.

I know for myself, as a writer, I am bound to flurries of activity before a sharp and sudden decline in activity. It's a pattern that's punctuated my time on Lit. The key, for me, was sticking to a few remarkably patient female costars. It helps sustain threads, even ones that move at a relative snail's pace to the majority of the boards posted here.
