Heaven's Light (open to one female)

"So many times out there I've watched a happy pair of lovers walking through the night..."

The soft creaking of shoes echoed in the otherwise empty church, the sole inhabitant of the house of god walking through the hallowed halls. His head was covered by a robe, and his right hand clutched his left arm, out of sheer want of another human, even himself, to touch him.

"They've had a kind of glow around them...." He sang softly, his voice, though melodic, loud enough to echo through the halls. "It almost looked like heaven's light..."

He walked over to a window and looked into the brightly lit street below him, the street lit with activity, with mothers and fathers walking through the street, holding the hands of their young, and lovers walking hand in hand in the lit street. His hand, pale and cold, reached and touched the cold window, feeling it chill against his hand.

"I knew I'd never know...that warm and loving glow...though I might try with all my might..."

He turned away sadly, and looked down the hallway, almost looking to see if anyone was looking. he pulled his hood back to reveal his face, somewhat handsome, though the stabbing thing one would notice about him was his eye. It almost looked as though it had been partially melted, his skin and eye sagging somewhat. It hurt him, as he looked at the window, that the monster that stared back at him was himself, and he could never be rid of the creatures.

"No face as hideous as my face...." He whispered sadly, and walked down the hallway, his right hand clutching his left arm, as he looked to the ground, as if ashamed, and he was. "Was ever meant for heaven's light..."

((Need someone to play the female to meet the young man of mine. Hope to have as much fun with this as possible))

"Hello?" A woman called, entering the church. She knew little about religions. She didn't belong to one herself, but she was interested in learning. She'd been to a synagogue, a shul as they called it, earlier that day. It was only one point of view though. She wanted, no, she yearned, to learn more.

The woman's name was Amber. She wasn't your typical girl. She was usually a bit of a party girl, but after the last part that she was at was raided, she decided to look into turning her life a different way. Walking down a different path.

She was short, only five feet tall, but she held herself as if she were taller. At first glances, people rarely noticed her short stature and were suprised when the looked again, closer. She had the voice of a big person, knowing how to make herself heard, how to make herself loud.

She didn't have a large chest, by any means, only a 32B, but on her short stature they tended to look larger, an entire cup size larger actually. She had a flat stomach, something she had worked rather hard to acheive, growing up a little chubby, she'd been suprised to find that the party girl life kept her thin, after her hours put into getting her that way.

The man stiffened at the noise that had echoed in the otherwise silent church. Someone was IN the church. And it was a female. He closed his eyes and put his hood back on, looking around to make sure the female wasn't anywhere enar him.

"I need to get to my room." he whispered to himself in desperation. "I don't need anyone else being frightened of me..."

He turned around a few more times, his hands clutching the robe hood close to his head as he walked as quickly as he could, finding the shortest way to his room. He knew this place like the back of his hand. Why was there ANYONE at this time of the day? Especially a female. People tended to run at the mere sight of him.

As looked around the corner, and was about to climb the stairs when he winced. There was a voice at the start of the hallway. He was sure to have been spotted now...

"Excuse me?"Amber called, seeing someone moving rather quickly. It was late, she knew that, but she didn't want to just visit one place in one day. She wanted to learn. She yearned to learn. "Umm, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, I guess I could leave, but I was hoping you'd..." She trailed off.

What was she hoping for at this time of night? None of the priests would be there, would they? She doubted it. Unless they lived there. Was that man a priest? She couldn't tell. It was dark and all that she could manage to make out was his outline. "I guess I don't really know why I'm here" she said "Well, I know why I'm here, I just don't know why I'm here right now" She was babbling. Crap.

He gulped rather heavily as he looked down to the ground, leaning the mishapen side of his face down to the ground, in case she DID see him, she shouldn't see his face..

"I'm sorry ma'am." he said as polietly as he could, gulping, his blonde hair dancing in front of his eyes. He was so close to his room. So damn close to his room...he sighed and slumped against the doorframe. "But i'm afraid all of the preists have retired for the night and...I'm well behind them."

Please let her buy it, please let her buy it...

"You live here then?" she asked happily. If he lived here, he had to know things about the church. He had to know things that she didn't, about religion, about god, about the bible. "I'm not a church goer" she told him honestly. "I wanted to learn." She could take a hint though. He didn't want to talk to her. But she was stubborn, and known for it. She wanted something, and she planned to get it.

There was something off about him though. She wasn't generally someone who was ignored. She wasn't beautiful, but she wasn't unnatractive either. Guys didn't usually go out of their way to avoid talking to her. But this one seemed to be. It made her all the more interested in talking to him though.

"Ma'am, it would just be better if you came back when oen of the preists are awake." he snapped, closing his eyes. He looked over his arm to get a good look at the child, and his breath caught in his throat. Turning around again, he cleared his throat.

"I apologize ma'am." he said. "But you must wait until morning, when someone is awake to teach you." he said. "I can respect your desire to learn the ways of the church but..." He paused. He gulped. Was he really turning someone down who wanted to learn the religion of god? Had he become THAT cold?

She shook her head. Amber wasn't giving up. Not even close. "Your turning me away?" she asked, shock in her voice, although she wasn't actually as shocked as she sounded. Sure, she was suprised, but not quite as much as she was leading him to beleive "Look" she said, walking toward him "That's not okay with me. I spent a lot of time getting here, and I want to learn. So, either you teach me now, or I sleep here and bother you in the morning." She told him, matter of factly. Her voice was steady and she meant every word that she spoke. It wasn't just a threat. She would actually do it.

[Warr]

He had a deep, deep feeling in his gut that she was the farthest point of kidding. He sighed. "So long as you give me your word you...won't look at my face, I'll teach you what I know." he whispered looking at her over his shoulder,

She was taken aback by his request. "Look at your face?" she repeated slowly. Well, now she wanted to look at his face. What was his problem anyway? Was he really ugly? Did he think she'd care what he looked like? She just wanted to learn. She shook her head slowly "Fine" she said slowly. She planned to peak anyway, she just wouldn't let him know. "Now teach me."

[Warr]

"Very werll." he sighed, defeated as he turned on the stairs to face her, but continued to look down at the ground. He moved around her, hopeful his hood didn't reveal too much to her. "If you follow me, and ask what you wish to learn, I'll teach you..."

Well, hopefully tthis wouldn't turn into some form of hideous horror movie. He was tired of killing people...not that he ever killed anyone.
