Im writing this as each time I receive a pm inquiring about a thread, I have to give the same reply over again, as regards limits and likes ect. So just to save time, I'm opening an OOC for myself, where I can keep my OOC ideas, and a little info on my comfort areas in srp.

I like writing, actually I love writing..Thus I love posts multiple paragraphs long, to give me something to work from..I haven't gone down the road of fantasy too far but have explored it slightly. I prefer writing about what I know and my threads mostly consist of real life stories..

I have however an interest in Vampires, but refuse to tie myself down to something that's related to an existing book/movie. I like a story developing on its own, with out being restricted to something that's already established..Hence , my often saying, I prefer *winging it*..

I'm at ease in writing about most sexual situations that don't infringe on the extreme, and by extreme I mean scat, humiliation, or anything with the faintest implication of sex underage/minor..which is against the site rules anyway...

I LOVE a romance, even if the thread doesn't start that way, I can't help but drift to it anyway.I'm a sucker for a guy that's strong, manly, and butch and takes his lady in hand firmly..I'm basically a romantic at heart ..

I aspire to post a couple of times a week per thread, pending on RL,( I'm a Mum and wife, so the kiddies and husband are my priority) and of course the amount of threads Im involved in..Therefore, my threads tend to be of a slower pacing, but I do not vanish, and I will always message a partner if lack of time prevents me from posting for a few days. Hopefully the quality of my posts will make up for them not being daily posts.

I have also tried writing in the first preference, and I dont like it...I'm more comfortable with third party.

Also, and this is a huge issue for me!...Please. please. please, DO NOT WRITE MY POSTS FOR ME. I can't abide godmodding.!!.Its insulting to another writer to have someone move a post along, and actually write where their partners character is, or what they say, or what their response is UNLESS it's been written in the previous post..Progress the thread by all means..but from your characters perspective...I'll do mine then..Its happened to me numerous of times, and I lose interest, and get fed up asking for it to stop..So if it happens, from now on I'll just drop the thread with no explanation. If I can't have the courtesy of writing my own stuff, why should I give you the courtesy of explaining...You can write the pm to yourself explaining why I've stopped posting with you.

That sounds harsh....but I'm easy going , and I wont be taken advantage of because of it.. Certainly not with something that's supposed to be a bit of social fun....It honestly drives me nuts.

This thread is being re offered, as it played for a few posts here, but it unfortunately just faded out.

Open to one strong male writer, able to create his own character, and produce his own story.


I read a book years ago, but can't ever remember the name or author..While this isn't based on it, what I remember of it perhaps inspired it.

In short..you have the rich kid with the family connections and wealth, and the poorer girl from the wrong family..They meet on the last summer before they go to their respective collages , and fall head over heals.....It's just perfect...But...His parents are against such a pairing because of the girls lack of back round, and look for ever reason to try come between them..But he has none of it..He's prepared to turn his back on every thing to stay with her....

One night, she's alone in her car, and crashes....Her face is destroyed, she's almost killed..The mother arrives at the hospital, and offers the girl a choice..To recover yes, but horrendously scarred for life, and either lose her son when he sees her, or have him stay with her out of pity...OR, 'die' and she'll pay for a whole new identity , name, face, education, the lot, for the girls 'promise' never to come near her son again..No win situation..stay, with literally no face, have him see her and watch his reaction..or go.She goes, and................................some years later......................

It's sad that you've had enough instances of people writing your responses for you that you actually need to state that as some sort of rule. Even the worst writers should have more common sense than that. I've had that problem maybe once in all my time writing on forums, so I don't envy your luck in partner choices.

The Artists Model.

Open to one strong male writing partner, with a flavor for romance. Pm or post here if interested.

Night classes are a time for people to improve themselves, or find a class that helps them simply enjoy and learn a little more about their hobby..Indeed a hobby that some would love to make a good living from. Iona has her own ideas about what she'd love to be doing, and it involves getting out of the city for good, and opening up her little pottery shop in one of the smaller towns along the coast..Nothing that's going to make her a millionaire, but something that she can earn her living from, selling the products she herself creates...

Her present job, working as a legal secretary is as far away from her dream as she can get..But the pottery night classes she gives twice a week keep her little dream alive...She also poses nude for two other nights , in the art class, and the money she earns is whats tucked away for the last 24 months, to help towards a move that's growing ever closer..

One night he comes in..Iona knows from experience not to make eye contact with any of the students when she poses for the nude arrangements, especially the males..Her name is never given..To the female art teacher she's just an item , a still life to be captured on either paper or canvas. But week after week 'he' comes..He wears a gold band on his left ring finger...She builds in her mind a little world of what his world might be like..But....in reality, she believes he's a married man....The paintings are almost done, and Iona is no longer needed....

And then she's gone..Iona moves away...And she misses the man, that always sat a little to the side out of Iona's line of direct vision..And all he has, is a sketch pad, and his painting of her....if he were to want to find her.

Prequel to a Nightmare in Heaven. Taken and in play with Marauder13.

The world is in apart by a civil war. No one even knows how it started, but after years of conflict, it doesn't matter anymore. People die daily, families wiped out, neighbors and friends fire at one another, turning on the very people they should be protecting out of nothing only blind fear and terror..

A pregnant woman watches in horror as her husband is executed in front of her by an executioner from the other side...A little baby comes into the world too soon there after, too small to survive, too tiny to know it had never drawn breath, leaving her entirely alone.. ( not played in rp, as per site rules, but mentioned carefully in the progress in posting)...

There is a place...Lost, far away, where the wars have never touched on...A land that she must find, and save herself from a war that is surely destroying all she knows. Then out of nowhere, an man appears with a gun in his hand, bearing his own wounds, and a tortured mind.. And he knows of her...and knew her husband..He wants to protect her...Guide her..This stranger, vows in her husbands stead to take her to this land where even he can escape the wars, and start over..Their journey will be long, and she will have to place her trust in him....

Between them a bond grows,..first as a fondness, then more and more as time brings them closer, and fondness falls aside, and something stronger stirs in their hearts.....

And he can't tell her yet... though he knows the day will come when he will have to reveal he was the man who executed her husband, and caused her to lose the little baby born too soon..

An Impossible Blunder. Taken and in play with Marauder13.

The city is held to ransom amidst a spate of crimeland murders...Mob bosses ordering hits on Mob bosses. Family against Family..One person is needed to break the case..An undercover officer that has infiltrated the mob for years and worked along side them gathering his information, formulating his case... The agents true identity has been an obvious secret until a leak to the press endangers the agent. The name is Sean Carmichael....A huge bounty is instantly put on Carmichael, but with one flaw..No one knows if Carmichael is male or female.

Enter Shawn Carmichael...Landscape gardener, and complete innocent. Her days are naively spent running her nursery, and tending her clients gardens..And a hit man is on his way after her unknowing, and uncaring that she's his wrong mark..The reward his motivation, and facts an impediment....And Sean Carmichael is duty bound to get to her first, and protect her until after his testimony is given.

I just want to say that I shared a thread with Alana at 1 point and found her to be an amazing writer and a great thread partner as well. I learned a lot from her, as she really challenged me to be a better writer then I thought myself to be.

So, if anybody is thinking about sharing a thread with this very capable and competent writer, dont hold back. Alana is simply the best!

And as someone who is fortunate enough to be doing two threads with her, I couldn't agree more. I have found her to be a great person to write with. She'll give a co-writer plenty to work with, and can roll with the best of surprises.

But be prepared to put in the effort with the posts. Not someone for one liners, but for a person who can be descriptive, and can do a few paragraphs.

But she is definitely worth the effort of writing with.

And as a proud stalker of Alana's gorgeous writing... I agree!!! I've seen some of the most romantic plays thrown out with her words, along with the excitement of a good story. (Though I haven't the slightest clue what writing with her would be like, but I'm almost certain she's as nice as she seems, and probably much nicer than me! ) She pulls so much tension in creating drama and will slowly seduce you into falling in love with her - oh I mean... her character.

She mentioned that she liked to write a few paragraphs, and when I saw the post I had intended to read, I doubted I'd get too far without being bored, as I'm unfortunate enough to have ADHD, but after reading the very first sentence, I knew I'd be finishing the entire post, and I did so enthralled.

I've never, obviously, had the pleasure of writing with her, frankly the task seems daunting to me, being that I prefer to write less and she is such an excellent writer, being compared to her would scare the living daylights out of me.

The Lighthouse Keepers Wife. In play with SouthernScion Inactive, but in a good place.

Historical romantic setting...A basic googled knowledge of the isolated life of Lighthouse keeper is all that's needed..The Island will be fictitious, as such details aren't really essential to the story.

The story being of a Keeper, living for long stretches alone on various lighthouses, has been given a permanent station on the small and isolated Trinity Island..With a permanent home now, he decides on taking a wife for both companionship and to share the duties that comes with one man running a lighthouse alone...
Setting an advertisement in the personals on a reputed paper ( as was often done by frontiers men in that time )..
A practical advertisement , making no promises of affections or demands, only that she will be safe, with the hopes that a bond may be born between them in time....He looking for a practical wife, willing to work in the often harsh surroundings of the island, and whose only company will be a husband she doesn't really know, and who , in being a man used to solitude, promises no grandeurs, no riches, but that he will take care of her, and be duty bound to honor her..The marriage will be performed by proxy, because of the isolation of the island...therefore she will arrive on the island as the ''Lighthouse Keepers Wife''..

Therein lies the basis of the story. Two strangers both needing something..He a wife and company, she a home and a husband to take care of her..There can be diversions in adventures if a partner wishes to toss in ideas, or it can simply be the a story about the couple, and the tensions and new emotions that surround them in their quiet life as they get to know one another.

It wont be an ever lasting endless thread..Rather it will come to an end at a mutually agreed point whenever that time comes.

Open to one strong male writer able to do his part in creating a story, and happy with two to three lengthy posts a week.. Pm if interested .With respect, no short posts or one liners please.

I would also ask that the First Post of this thread be read to ensure compatibility in writing styles.

The Underworld, being the Ocean from which the Selkie live lost in Irish/Scottish folklore. Selkie's, are the shape shifters of the deep, that come to dry land, shedding their skins, and taking on human form..Some say to dance in the moon light every ninth night, some say they come every full moon to watch its full glory. Others will tell you, they come, namely the females to bask in the daylight hours on the rocks on the coast lines, laying naked in the sun...But what is truly known, if you steal their skin, the Selkie, be it male or female, is bound to you for as long as you desire..

Male and female selkies ,both are dutiful, loyal mates to those humans who do steal their skin..

Enter my lady Eve. Beautiful enchantress that she is, Eve is carelessly lax, and has her skin stolen from the waters edge, before she hides it..And is bound to the one that conceals it from her. She will be his, as long as he chooses, obedient, lovingly nurturing in his home..Once she doesn't find where he's hidden the skin that will take her from him should she chose to leave him. And her nature will have her search for it, the sea calling her home, unless he wins her heart completely and she turns her back on the Ocean for ever.

I'm thinking this would work best if not played in the modern time..The rustic barren atmosphere of island life and its hardships holds a little appeal..But I am open to anyone's opinions...
