I really believe that's right! I never was a BC fan till afterwards when comparing his performance to Bush's. You have to admit, he's effective. He is the silver tongue. Could anyone else gone over there and come back with the girls?

I am amazed that he had to apologize for their 'behavior' and swear that it wouldn't happen again. But, I guess it is a very small price to get them back safely.

The story ended well. It not only makes Bill Clinton look good. It makes President Obama look good.
With Pol Pot and Saddam Hussein gone, Kim Jong-il is the most evil dictator in power. Nevertheless, there never has been much we can do to oppose him but provoke a war that would devastate the Korean peninsula. Also, with the mess Bush created in Iraq and Afghanistan the U.S. military is over extended. We simply need to make Kim want to do what we want him to do.

It was a done deal before he left. Obama would never risk losing face by sending someone to negotiate who might come back empty-handed.
The question is what did we give up to get them back? Don't be surprised if Iran tries the same thing.
