For those of you who share my interest in formal poetry, I give you "Via Negativa" by Ellen More.

I agree. She's very skilled. Not only the format, but the substance of the narrative appeals to me. I usually prefer a poem with more than the 8 lines here, but she packs so much into the imagery and the way she turns a metaphysical idea into something very sensual is remarkable.

Ellen did it again with Woman Turning into a Typewriter . My kind of poem.....one where I think "damn, wish I'd written that."

An interesting array of poems in “New Poems:”

Two newcomers:

Realizations of an Unbroken Girl
AelfGirl

https://www.literotica.com/p/realiza...-unbroken-girl

The Book of Jasmine
MommyToni

https://www.literotica.com/p/the-book-of-jasmine

was nicely done erotic poem

GuiltyPleasure remembers Father’s Day with 2 sad poems, but for different reasons in

Julius Turing mourns his son

https://www.literotica.com/p/julius-...mourns-his-son

my father’s home

https://www.literotica.com/p/my-father-s-home

She adds a seductive 3rd poem in

…..but first

https://www.literotica.com/p/but-first

Ash’s small poem, Meaningless, I found intriguing, but I think it needed a few more lines.

https://www.literotica.com/p/meaningless-1

darkness
by sandyb was for me at least was the most provoking among many that were thought provoking.

https://www.literotica.com/p/darkness-58

And last but not least
Pressure

There's a new poet, MommyToni, whose "Right Here Next to You" is really well done IMO:

https://www.literotica.com/p/right-here-next-to-you

Her first poem, or at least the first one I saw, "Book of Jasmine" was also very well done(See earlier post on this thread if interested in the link.)

sandyb is one of those poets who consistently posts good work under "New Poems."

I thought "the cosmic cane" was very well written, and at least in my case sent my imagination spinning to the sensual and spiritual realms.

Guilty Pleasure paints a word portrait that we all can identify with in "A Poet's Place."

Beautiful throughout, gently teasing in places, ends thoughtfully: a winner all around.

AH posted a lovely poem on 29th - a Terza Rima - it's very erotic (unfortunately miss-labelled so it won't get the exposure it should). It's hard enough to write good erotica, doubly so in a form. Well done!

Here it is.

I'll second that. It's quite good as are some of the other poems he has posted.

sandyb has a couple of interesting poems today, Old Photo which I particularly like, and No Light which is a little disturbing but kept me engaged.

I found them both disturbing, but well written.

Sweet Oblivion treats us to another finely crafted sonnet, albeit a sad one, in “Until I Stop:”

Good catch. She's a sonneteer. We should try to recruit her to PF&D.

I’m beginning to believe sanishen is Sweet Oblivion or Sandyb in disguise. There are a couple more sonnets by him or her, but BDSM doesn’t tickle my fancy the way “Gentle Man” does.

I really liked the irony projected in Sweet O’s “What Do We Do Now?”
