How in the world did we get to the situation where grown adults in a workplace can't flirt with each other or even tell a dirty joke at the water cooler?

And people tell us this is a "normal society"? :rolleyes:
 
I've been noticing how people at work today have become robotized into being very asexual. Both sexes sort of give off an asexual vibe now at work. Even if the sex harassment laws were lifted tomorrow and flirting was re-legalized, the psycological damage to people who have lived through this repressive age would not go away in a short time. Its really sick what the extreme femanazi's have done to people.
 
Both sexes used to have so much sexy fun at work in the 70s and 80s and even to a lingering extent in the 90s until the fear of being sued or fired became internalized.

In fact, in the 60s workplaces were one of the main places people would find there spouse. It was even encouraged by the company in many cases as people would be considered happier if they weren't alone.

Now, only the bad is emphasized and the fear of a lawsuit has a chilling effect on both fun and romance in the workplace.

...it's no one else's problem that you still consider yourself a subject of "the workplace", a "workplace" you've known for a long time has only been becoming more and more enslaved to complete federal government control. Did you actually fantasize it all wouldn't end-up as exactly as it was telegraphing where it would end-up all along?

I go to my work place to WORK.
I'm not there to socialize.
I'm not there to make friends.
I'm there to exchange my labor for my employer's capital.
The more value I provide to my employer, the more capital I receive.
Wasting time, mine and others, does NOT add value.
Interacting with my co-workers in a positive, professional manner does add value.

If I want to flirt and get laid, guess what?
There are places specifically designed for that. Everyone knows the score and that's why they're there.

If I want to tell dirty jokes, guess what?
There are comedy clubs with open mics. Everyone knows the score and that's why they're there.

Just because you're a slacker who thinks your job is designed for you to flirt and tell dirty jokes doesn't make you a "grown adult".
That workplaces have become more professional means that antics more suited to a junior high playground are not tolerated because the standard of conduct has risen past what was acceptable 20-30 years ago.
