I watch this extremely conservative Paki husband and wife that has moved to my town in rural Ohio from a village in Pakistan. The woman is in her mid twenties and her husband is sick and in a wheelchair. I watch her take him to the hospital every other day and wonder how she copes with having an invalid husband.
I live across her house, and I am mowing the lawn when she steps out alone. I give her a smile and say, "Hi there, I am Rob. Welcome to USA, and I hope you are settling in."
