Carson walked to class with Jessica, they had been dating for their entire high school term and the first semester of their time at Greater North American University for the gifted. The school was supposed to be a place for gifted students to grow and master their skills, but like many college's it had turn into a business so if you parents had money, you were in. This was how both him and Jessica got into the school. The warm summer mornings made these walks a lot better and the fact that Jessica tended to wear even more revealing clothes than normal. He loved looking down her shirt, he had had a lot of girls in his time, even while dating Jessica but her breast were amazing. He snapped out of his haze when Jessica was snapping her fingers in his face.
"Hey horndog, why don't you pay attention to me, I've been telling you how Daddy is paying for a party for me. I need you to get that cute outfit I bought you the other day..."
He had already tuned her out, he loved Jessica's body but everything else about her was horrible. She was spoiled and pampered into a shallow husk of a woman. He couldn't help but tune out her prattle. She talked constantly but she never had a single conversation about anything other than clothes, or girls, or money. They were through the front doors to his building, and almost to his class when all hell broke lose. He had turned his attention to a door opening into his walking path, when a girl walked out. She was stunning, but obviously she didn't think so, she walked with a angry look on her face and her books clutched to her chest. He knew women like that, they were easy pickings for someone with his looks. He smiled, he knew he was hot, but how could he not be. He was a clean 6'2" a toned 170 lbs and thanks to the black American express card in his wallet with his Dad's name he was dressed in the best designer threads you could buy. He had dusty blonde hair, and always maintained a perfect tan without ever fake baking. He was the envy of guys and the fantasies of every girl in school. And he knew it. Trapped in his own self admiration he didn't notice the slap coming toward his handsome face. The force of it shook his entire body, clutching his face he turned toward the perpetrator.
"What the HELL Jess, what the fuck did you smack me?!"
"I smacked your smug ass because you were staring at that hussie that came out of the classroom."
"What are you talking about? Have you finally lost it?"
"HAVE I LOST IT! YOU CHAUVINISTIC PIG! YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO BE WITH ME, TO EVEN GET TO SEE THIS, she motioned toward her body, You need to apologize right now and I expect you to mean it! If you don't were done, you can go back to your horrible sense of style and thinking your so damn special. Well your not the best thing about you is ME!"
He listened to her rant, his anger bubbling under the surface, finally he had enough. He didn't say anything, he didn't need too he was done with her. He took out his wallet, removed her pictures from it, even the skimpy one of her sun bathing topless and threw them at her feet. Then he held our his cell phone, showed her where her number was programmed under Baby Girl, then clicked delete. He turned and walked away, leaving her yelling a number of obscenities that he wasn't sure she knew the meaning too. He walked to his class in silence, this was the first day of his Chemistry class, and he was sure they were going to be sticking everyone with their lab partners. What a joy he thought, the only thing that could make this day better, was dealing with a brainless flirty girl or a guy trying to hard to be his friend. He walked into the class and sat at the back table, the rest had been filled earlier and this one was the only one with a seat open. He looked at the seat next to him and noticed the notebook on the counter. Pulling it over to him he read the name on the front cover. Sasha. He thought over the mental contact list of all the girls he knew, he didn't recall this one. Sighing he settled back into the chair. Closing his eyes he leaned back, holding his hands behind his head.
"Hey, could you move out of my way?"
He didn't recognize the voice and he wasn't really in the mood for anyone to talk to him that way. Opening his eyes he was about to speak when he noticed the girl. It was the same one from the hallway, she didn't look quite show shy now. She had scowl on her face that was aimed right at him. He smiled and, lean forward, unblocking the path.
"Sure babe, I guess your Sasha huh? Your kinda pretty, I see why Jessica got all pissed when she thought I was staring at you."
Smiling he knew most girls fell for that, the off handed half compliment/insult. He waited for her to speak up. Expecting her to say something along the lines of "Oh you were staring, complete with a giggle."
Instead he got silence as she sat down at her side of the table and opened her books. Tuning him out. He smiled, maybe she could be a bit of fun, not often did a girl turn him down so hard. He heard the teacher clear his throat, Prof. Aaronson was a short, fat Jewish man who had given up the faith and focused on science. He only knew this because he had to listen to the man prattle on about his life and how hard he worked to get where he was after Carson failed the last semester's Chem class. Aaronson offered to set him up with tutoring if Carson applied himself this semester. He didn't really care to learn about chemistry, But he had to have this class to graduated so, he sighed and settled in for a long Semester. He must have missed something because Aaronson was calling his name.
"Mr. Carson, I hope your paying attention, did you hear me?"
"Umm, no sir, I can't hear you back here, can you speak up?"
The class suppressed a giggle as the professor righted himself, and glared at Carson.
"I said, I am pairing you with Sasha, this semester. She is one of the smartest girls we have here at school. And I believe you are going to NEED the help with my class. If you can't hear me that is."
Carson glared at the professor, how dare he talk to him that way. He didn't even register who his partner was. He sank back into his seat and tried to remember who was his partner. He turned to the angry girl beside him and smiled.
"Hey I still couldn't hear who my partner was. did you hear who the lucky person was?"
"Hey horndog, why don't you pay attention to me, I've been telling you how Daddy is paying for a party for me. I need you to get that cute outfit I bought you the other day..."
