The Isolated Blurt Thread ∞: Who Gives a Fuck?

Sometimes I manage to get distracted enough to forget. I cherish those moments. But then it always catches up to me.

More tests tomorrow. MRI. Chest. Labs. New hospital. New people. Reckon I'll be hungry by 1 o'clock. Then, more waiting.

They get you all strapped down, stick plugs in your ears and then start talking to you. My shoulders feel like I've been broken on the rack. But it's over. They didn't kill me.

My last one, which was 2.5 hrs long was actually strangely pleasant, other than "how are you doing?" occasionally, they just played my music. I listened to old Byron voice mail before hand and they gave me socks to keep my hands warm. Of course it was an ER thing, so they were trying to be nice, keep me calm and so on. It also was a newish, very large MRI so I didn't have to roll my shoulder or anything. They did 3D too!

Full body scan? I was done in an hour, including the chest x-ray.

Nope, just my head and neck. They did a 2D one w/o contrast and a 3D with. It wasn't the usual contrast, I couldn't feel it.

The longest one I had prior was a full spine scan which took 1.75 hrs.

Why the chest xray?

A little over a year ago I had a weird, almost robotic MRI with all sorts of strange chemicals released and then it follows how my body responded, I don't remember how long that one was, Byron keep track of stuff back then.

They must use a different contrast for MRI's than CT's because I thought the same thing. Usually my butthole feels like it's on fire.

My new doc wanted it just for screening. I guess why bother with the kidney if I'm full of cancer somewhere else...

Hey GFY,

In your photo travels if you come across any PG/modest photos of prostitutes from the early 1900's could you share them? Even stuff as late as Bellocq's storyville ones.

Thanks,

Noor
