So I want to do a fairly big project guys, I want somewhere between 6-8 writers, though it may get bigger if enough people want to write. Each writer will be responsible for a character. The character can be either male or female and the series will be 18 A in the sense that all characters can swear, kill, have sex etc. Any and all authors are welcome to create events where they cross paths with other characters but once all characters are made there will be a general cliffhanger that all characters are going to end up at. The idea is that hopefully new content will come out every week but that writers only need a new chapter from their characters perspective once every 6 to 8 weeks.
Basics
The universe is at a roughly medieval age of development. Though they have very little accomplished in the way of math or science there is some magic such as enchanted weapons, clothes and trinkets as well as potions that can heal, kill etc.
Landscape & Political Landscape
There is an old empire built on the backs of millions if not billions of slaves. In the last century though several thousands slaves have escaped or earned their freedom through overthrowing their slavers. They have gone to the Free Lands, an openly democratic society that has been at war with the slaver empire for several hundred years, slowly expanding as slaves joined their cause.
There is the Great Forest to the north where the natives are very connected with the earth and many homes are built into the forest in convenient ways. Though occasionally hunted by slavers they can usually defend themselves as long as they are fighting in the forest and know the area. Generally reclusive very rarely do people leave the forest other then on the coast where a wealthy group of families(some slavers, others merchants) established massive fortress homes, thought to be nearly impregnable by many militaries.
Down further South lies the No mans land, also known as the redlands. Due to a chain of mountains it is essentially barren and very little can grow there. No empire has yet to stabilize the region. Ruled by cannibalistic savages very few go through the redlands if it can be avoided.
Further down from that, after the mountain chain, lies the Free lands. A massive grasslands democratic society with an open minded and tolerant citizenry. Not only is homosexuality allowed but it is common place, men and women are considered equals and are elected at roughly equal rates. The best medical, artistic and military minds can be found in the free lands
Characters
My current character is Krano Dreadleaf, aka "Shadow Man"
Coming back from a half decade of training he discovered his family was dead. Finding his father over a trap door in the ruins of his burnt family home he discovered his father had secretly been one of the most powerful criminals in the world, donning his fathers cloak he became the new "Shadow Man" but is unsure of what he should do. He is a wild card in the coming events he knows nothing about.
to give you an idea of what stuff your character should have mine has a Cloak that allows him invisibility, a bow that can shoot lightning arrows and an amulet that gives him incredible luck.
