That site you found is great. I'm still picking through it and playing with the forms.

Thumbs up Shadow Sonnet

(yikes! Wicked hard. LoveHate it. Thank you for the website UnderYourSpell. Great find!)

Untitled

Feeling moods that can't hold liquor, feeling
alone, a crowdsourced loneliness, a loan
offering no interest, an offering
prone before the gods, steak-on-plate prone.

Still clothed in an ill-fitting lover there, still
as a snoring stone, my flesh burqa, as
spilled on my bed as wretched thoughts are spilled
past my dirty eyes, and I watch them pass.

Watching daydreams glued to hangovers watching
signs read in her dripping makeup, stop signs
matching my overreaching fears matching
underlying demons. Under. Lying.

Rapt on coital ash, and sobering. Shrinked-wrapped
scraps of a day, or some other day, scrapped.

A Drum is a Woman (Nove Otto)

From Papa Jo old high hat king
to Sonny, Chick barons of swing
to bebop Max Klook Congo Square
a drum is a woman, you see.
Jezebel c'est un griot, oui?
The whoosh of the wind in her hair
her feet on the rhythm her hips
in the song how the heartbeat grips
to pull you along pulse the air.

February Tableau

Oh how the air hangs
still the branches sunk
and shrunken the chill
like skin wants to shed
the ground hard as glass
breaking in dank hope

Gaming Tableau

The map is spread; figures dotting
its surface while players are plotting
their next moves. Slipping in among
the ruins, avoiding the enemy throng,
seeking nothing special, just treasure.
Beyond, that is, a fun, simple, pleasure.

Blitz

Life then stops

It's what it is
It's a dog's life
Life goes on
Life is a bitch
Bitch about me
Bitch is me
Me and my shadow
Me and you make two
Two for tea
Two little boys
Boys toys
Boys and girls
Girls rule
Girl's night out
Out and about
Out of luck
Luck of the Irish
Luck is a lady
Lady and the Tramp
Lady in waiting
Waiting about
Waiting? Why are we?
We are the champions
We all need love
Love in a cold climate
Love makes the world go round
Round the houses
Round not square
Square eyes
Square peg in a round hole
Hole in the ground
Hole in one
One, two, three O'Leary
One day at a time
Time in a bottle
Time heals all
All is most of fall
All cannot be pleased
Pleased from thank yous
Pleased to meet you
You are half of me
You are everything
Everything coming up roses
Everything comes to an end
End is new beginnings
End sentences with full stops
Stops running away
Stops then gone
Gone.....
Away.....

TO THE "BRETHREN"
(a cascade)

It is alright, lady Eleanor,
You're not only a song by Lindisfarne,
Your times in the future may return.

We swing together free of any load,
Till Kingdome comes we're walking down the road,
It is alright, lady Eleanor.

You are a million songs or maybe more,
But I've got an eternity to learn,
You're not only a song by Lindisfarne.

The fog still thick in Newcastle upon Tyne,
But maybe what will follow is sunshine,
Your times in the future may return.
