Same Title Challenge
We started doing these on the forum in 2002, first with different poets writing pieces of one poem, and then in 2003 we did different poems about the same illustration. Since then we've done many same title challenges: "Copacetic Persuasion" and "Tangled Florescence" are two that come to mind. It is always fascinating to see how poets take the same title in different directions.
Want to participate in a same title challenge? Are you in? If so suggest a title in this thread. Once we have at least five titles, we'll vote on them and the winner will be the challenge title. Then we'll have a week to produce our poems.
I'm in but I suck at titles so I need to think about this for a while before I can suggest one.

I can't think of one at the moment, either, but I'll be up for giving it a shot. I've joined in on a few, although I don't remember the pic you linked. I remember the one with the girl holding the blue flowers.

I have lived through Lauren Hynde's Tyranny of Weird Titles so I'm up (sorta) for whatever. I'm more for the simple titles, but my choices usually do lose.

We also did them on purple paint samples and the different moons throughout the year. And one word titles, like Still, which turned out pretty interesting how everyone interpreted the word "still".
My suggestion is, "Porn for Poets".

So far
we have five prospective titles~
nano-clams and other molluscs
blue flowers
pentimento
The Several Ways the Ocean Wins
Porn for Poets
We still may get an entry from Remec. And if anyone else wants to throw a title into the mix, go for it!
But how will we choose the one? If we did a poll, we'd all vote for our own titles, no? Probably.
I have invited a guest poet to look at our whole list of titles, without focusing on who submitted what. She (our guest) will simply pick the one she thinks will work best. And then we'll write. Who is this illustrious guest? Stay tuned and see.
Let's say we have until this Friday (5/10/13) to submit titles. So keep them coming!

The official title for the challenge hasn't been chosen yet.
The challenge is for everyone to write with the same title, once it has been picked.

I agree with Neo - one word titles could be very interesting.
like "Father"

That's nine so far. Do I hear ten? Remember, if you're in, you have to write a poem based on whichever title is picked. Title entries are being accepted through Friday. On Saturday we shall have a weiner....a winner.
