Looking for a Female Penpal....
Okay so maybe penpals isn't quite the right word since we are not putting pen to paper but rather fingers to a keyboard. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Just looking to exchange emails and get to know some one through PMs or email. We can talk about anything from the our daily lives, to things you think deeply about, something that makes you laugh, etc.
Just a little bit about me, so you know right off the bat, 33 year old male, currently living in the southwest, or as my profile says, Arizona. I am married, which I know can be a deterrent to some, and that is fine, but I have to be upfront about it of course.

I miss the days of "putting pen to paper". I really do. It was so much more personal and fun even to get a letter or a card from someone. Emails and pm's are good don't get me wrong but I just miss it sometimes.

Really? I think it was a very valid question considering he posted originally that he was married and knew some people might have an issue being penpals with someone in a relationship.
And her questions were worded very politely, even going so far as to asking if he minded them being asked. I would consider that to be the opposite of judgmental. I think you all may be reading too deeply into something that was not meant to be taken that way.

No reply, so far. I do hope I didn't offend him or anyone else. I am avidly curious about what is involved with the men on here who are married and their wives don't know they are here. Not judging anyone. Just wondered. And also, I am available to chat to him, but I would like to know his reasons for being here first, since he sounded like he wanted something that is longterm, even if it is just messaging.

As a once married man I will give my thoughts, and mind you, they are only mine I would never venture a word for others:
When I was married, though never on lit, I did enjoy the games on line and the chatting with people. I enjoy talking, sexually or not, and she was rather less of a conversationalist. A wonderful woman, and still is, but after nearly 25 years we realized out differences did not make either of us the best to be around.
Divorced now for almost 8 years, I still enjoy chatting with people all around the world, friendships can really be made on line.

I owe you an apology, sorry I thought that you were being judgmental and equally obviously you were not.
Perhaps you might consider using the private messaging facility for checking that kind of detail with an individual?

I want to wish you a very warm welcome from one new person to another. I think that will always be a problem.... it is easy for a person to misunderstand the wording in texts and emails because they are one dimensional. (The writing, not the person  ) I didn't mean to cause any issue.

I know this taking us way off topic, but as someone who has her head bitten off on a forum because something i wrote was taken completely the wrong way (and then got it bitten off a second time for trying to explain), can i say well done for having the balls to apologise for a misunderstanding. |

It's amazing how one question can spark such a debate. But open dialogue and conversation is always a good thing. To answer the burning question, this is something I am doing on my own accord. Just looking for someone to conversate with via email that is outside the inner circle of my family, for lack of a better term. I know that may not sit well with some, and other may understand, but that's the my answer and I'm sticking to it. |
