Lily didn't exactly understand everything within her, but she was the kind of girl who would do what she had to. She felt her fathers arms around her, as she closed her eyes. Flashes of her life went in and out of her head, she was just a girl with a terrifying future. She was just a young thing that Aster saw as a threat. And she could see him trembling like a child, but she did not want this job she didn't want this power. When she opened up her eyes, sadness could easily been seen in the eyes of her youth.

"The only thing power is, is a means to destroy rather you are a weapon to protect people, or a weapon that wants to destroy. I know life isn't about being fair, life is about taking responsibility for your actions and your power. Perhaps no one will ever truly understand me, for the only thing power does is destroy everything. But this is my job, my responsibility to protect what little I have left in this damn world. And even if I die at the end of this, at least there will be a peace for time to come"

Pulling away she heard what the guardian said and she just nodded, placing her hand over her face. Tears silently began to fall, she just wanted to have a normal life. But she knew it would never be, power is a means to conquer and she didn't want anyone to get hurt. It was bad enough life was as it was, right now she just didn't care about much. But she had innocence to protect. And she held her head up as high as she could muster her strength, she was just terrified of the consequences.

The Guardian could tell that she wasn't liking what was happening, but no one here really did. They would all rather be in different places without the threat of Aster looming over them, but they had their duties. They couldn't just abandon them. But when she began speaking about power, he began shaking his head.
"Power is not just a means to destroy. I know of two Benders who are among the most powerful in existence, and they create, not destroy. But the Starbearer has the potential for both. She can either stay on Earth and destroy the evil, or leave Earth to become the Moon Bender and create life. That is why the Starbearer is so powerful. But she can only choose one path. If she stays on Earth, she can change her mind later. But if she leaves Earth and becomes the Moon Bender, her fate is sealed. You chose to stay on Earth, and yet you have the choice to leave. Out of any of us, you are the luckiest. For if our plans fail, and if Aster rules the world, you can leave and become the Moon Bender, but we must either face death or hide. Do you see now? And because of this fact that you can become the Moon Bender, the current Moon Bender is protecting you, in the hope that when you are finished, you can take her place. That is why when Aster entered your outs, he was expelled. And that is another reason why you are the luckiest. And because of all this, you must face Aster, for you are destined, and you have much help from greater forces. Nature itself is helping you, and you can bend anything. Remember that. You can control nature, and the Moon is protecting you. Does the future look so bleak now?"

She listened to him and closed her eyes it wasn't as easy as words, saying she would protect and protecting are two different things. Right now it was something that had haunted her since she was born. Sure she could take the easy way out, but she knew no one else could kill Aster. If only she could shelf her responsibility let someone else take over. But she knew she was the only one who could do it, when he said what he did and silence could be heard.

Looking down she grew lost in everything, closing her eyes as it all seemed so different. Life never being easy for anyone, and right now the fact was she was afraid. Her eyes looked out towards the entrance of the cave, looking out into the nothingness of darkness. "I don't want this responsibility but because this is my responsibility and because no one else can do what I can do, the moon bender would be to soft and would be killed. So this is something I have to do"

Lily took her sword from its resting place and looked at her reflection on her blade. She was a scared little girl, but she had to be an adult now. A soft melody escaped her lips, and a look in her face one never there before was determination her voice carried on the wind. The fire in the cave started to rage, the fire roaring. Her sword in her hand pointed to the sky as lighting from no place struck her sword. Creating one hell of a light show, something anyone no matter where could see it.

And the ground began to react to her as well, like something inside of her woke up. Closing her eyes as the sword glowed with all the elements attached to it. "I'm coming for you Aster, I will destroy you even if it means my own death. You will stop hurting the people I love, and people I respect. The lives you have destroyed will be avenged I am coming for you Aster" She said in her mind but also verbally so the others could hear her. "My responsibility, my curse"

It was easy to tell in her face, she wouldn't let anyone take this responsibility but herself. Determination showed on her face, was felt in her heart and knew right and wrong. Her eyes slowly opening up as it seemed so different right now, and yet she felt a very strange peace with it. She smiled at her parents and the guardian showing she would do her job and do it well. And may mercy fall on Aster once he is killed, for she will do it.

When Lily grabbed her sword and began singing, her powers once again activated. Her song was heard all over the world, and her light was also seen. All who heard it felt determination, or fear. They knew that they should rise up against Aster. The lightning was like their beacon of hope, and Lily was their Savior. Se would save them from Aster, and make the world right again. Her vow to avenge the lives made all who heard it be afraid of her, yet at the same time awed. She was not one you wanted as an enemy. When she finished and faced Daniel, Lisa, and the Guardian, they all felt relieved that she would stay. I would make fighting Aster a whole lot easier.

When Aster heard Lily's words and saw her lightning, he knew what would happen. He was afraid to fight her, knowing she would master all the elements and she would defeat him, like he thought he could defeat her. So the only way to fight her would be by sabotaging her, or possibly corrupting her either before or during the battle. Trickery was the only way, and thankfully he was wonderful at trickery. He walked towards where his captives were, the Starbearers two grandmothers, and smiled at them. He crouched down so he would be more level with them, and he removed the gags from their mouths. What occurred was them swearing and saying as many profanity and insulting things to him as possible. He only grinned more, and then he took out his dagger. He fused his bending with it, and when the dagger an dhis bending were together, he brought it down on one of the figures. What occured was probably the greatest discovery in all the bending world. As the woman's life flowed away, Aster's bending replaced it and began fueling her odd much like her soul. Then, when that was done, she began transforming into what he wanted to create from the start: creatures that were half human, half plant. Now, she was natures greatest master piece. Horrified, the other woman began screaming, but Aster put her gag back in place. Satisfied with his discovery, he unbound the new creatures. Before he could command it, however, it punched him in the stomach, and ran off. Stunned by the blow, he did nothing to prevent its escape. And ow he knew that his method would need to ensure that his creature would be bent to his will. For now, the capture he had dated was still the woman he killed, but now half plant. Cursing, he kicked the woman in the gut, and walked off, angry with himself.

Lily felt like she was one with the world she lived in, everything seemed to be much more clear. And right now she feared what was going to happen. Right now everything just seemed so much different, but she sensed something was wrong. She heard screaming in her head, she grabbed her head and cried out in frustration more then anything. Right now she felt like she had been raped in a way. She felt her family was in danger and her eyes looked up at the sky as she collapsed onto her knees.

She could sense what had happened and right now she was just lost to everything, tears fell down her face. Yet no cries could be heard from her, only way to tell she was upset was her eyes as tears streamed down her face. Part of her died and could feel which part it was, Aster had begun to take everything away from her. Anger could be seen on her face, as the anger fueled something else inside her. Everything just seemed to be destroyed, as Aster was starting to get people on his side.

Lily knew it was a matter of time before she would have nothing left, she had a feeling by the time this was over. Her mother, father and her grandparents were going to be dead, perhaps even the guardian. And without at least one soul by her side to survive she would more then likely thrust her sword into her heart and let herself die. Right now everything seemed to be dead around her. And it would make his death just that more sweeter and she would make Aster suffer for what he had done.

"He isn't going to wait he is starting tonight, he already took grandma Rosie made her into god only knows what. If I lose someone else I don't think I will survive this" She closed her eyes and just sat in the corner her eyes looking into the fire as she was trying to find solace in the fire's warmth. But nothing would come, she knew that and right now it would destroy her. Her weakness was love. And more she thought about it, the more she started to suspect Aster knew that as well.

She had been taught from birth life was cruel, it was hard and unforgiving. But it is what you do with your life that makes the difference. Sometimes she wondered what in the hell she was doing, and right now things were just getting out of hand. It was hard to think sometimes she thought being alone wasn't so bad. It would keep the people she loved safe, but it would destroy her soul in the long run. She did not doubt her ability she doubted her survival that was easy to tell by things she said.

Daniel saw as Lily collapsed onto the ground, tears falling from her eyes. When she stood and explained what had happened, he gave a solemn nod. He had known Aster would at a point begin making these creatures. After all,cDaniel was the first person to have ever figured out that plan of his. But he did not know that Aster wouldn't wait, and would kill or of Lily's grandmothers, even though he had promised not to. She was still alive, as that creature, and he could tell she was free of Aster's will, but still, he couldn't help but pitying her. Daniel could tell, however, that Lily was having conflicting thoughts about what had happened. Unsure of what to do, he left the cave to get some fresh air. Before he left he walked up to Lily. "If you would like, you could join me outside, and we ca talk about this." He then turned to Lisa, asking he rid she would like to join him outside.

Lily did not know what to think any more, she was really scared about what all this meant. Right now she just did not know what to think any more. Everything in her just seemed to stop, and she was so afraid of things. Looking into the fire in the cave, she could hear her grandmothers screams and closing her eyes. She wanted Aster to suffer the way she had, clenching a fist she felt like going out right then and there and taking care of Aster. But she felt that he would be able to kill her to easily.

But then she felt a hand on her shoulder and she slowly opened up her eyes, turning her head a little as she saw him. Forcing a smile on her face as she just nodded to him, placing her hand on his and watched him leave. Right now she just did not know what to do right then, unsure exactly about what would happen. But she turned and walked out following him, she went outside her eyes up at the moon. "I'm afraid if he uses my family against me, I wont be able to fight. To take the life of my family..." She stopped herself.
