I don't know where you live, but one of the things you can do would be to join a transgender group, depending on where you see yourselves fitting. There are groups and also conventions where they have speakers, workshops and so forth, where you can meet others and learn. There are also groups that meet at LGBT enters for gender variant people (some are for transitioning tg/ts's, some are more broad based for those not sure, questioning, etc). There are lists of groups on the net, and it is a starting place

then there's this gurl who plays electric guitar - Jesslyn - and she's damn good at it, too... It's gotten to where I check in on her to see what music she's working on rather than to hear her talk about her transition.

First thing I'd say is : you are not alone, nor are you crazy. There are plenty of resources you could read ( I'm happy to suggest some ) but don't be frightened of being open here - you might just help someone else

Sticky thanks for the info i'm going to check them out, and I can assure you no i'm not here just for kicks I really am sincere i have been dealing with this issue for years since I've been younger but just haven't actually faced it or had the courage too

These were very helpful Sticky, I enjoyed the myth part I already knew most of those myths aren't true but I know thats not what alot of people think and maybe thats why i have a hard time identifying with it. And it looks like after I read the academic paper one I mostly identify with Group 3 thats definatley me. I appreciate you being so supportive.

Understood Welcome to the rabbit hole There isn't much "mis-information" on the web that I've seen, so keeping reading: it can become obsessive so try and keep your sense of humour and balance as best you can. When you're ready, then a local TG group might help or a counsellor who specialises in TG issues. Transgenderism isn't main-stream for most health care professionals so don't be fobbed off with excuses.
And keep in touch here: chat, laugh, cry ...

I've read the thread, and for the past hour I've been sitting here looking at the open post window.. I'm sure many of you can guess as to why. I really don't know where to start, or even how. But I do need to say something.. even if it is woefully inadequate.

So I will simply offer my heartfelt support, my gratitude to all of you for sharing so much great information.. and wander off for a bit. I need to find someone local to talk to.

I've been playing around it for years, with dressing, promiscuity, behavior, what and how I feel most comfortable when I'm by myself... I thought I understood and accepted where I was at and what my limits were. I was.. wrong.

...and don't beat yourself up over promiscuity, sometimes that can just be how testosterone allows you to express yourself: it's a fiery mix. But beyond the red-mist of sexual thoughts could be that inner soul - only you can know that. I'm repeating what I've said before but, imagine a world without sex or orgasms and decide if you'd still want to be a woman. That immediate post-orgasm rush can point to who you are too, at least it does for me... ok, here's goes nothing - I have to fight back tears of shame and self-hate for having come as a male. Not a great incentive to want more.
