If you are looking for more sensation than pain I would go with a violet wand. This is not saying a violet want cannot be painful as well, but it has some range in usage.
If you are looking for something that has a bit of physiological kick and you can get some local training I would suggest needles. You can get them in different gauges and prices are bloody cheap fun of medical play.
A cupping set can be nice in a few different ways.
