Scientology? I think you mean L. Ron Hubbard ...
Oh, nasty. Just recovering from something similar myself... Sorry to hear that.

Zenit Photosniper (and yes, I own one).
The idea was good. The actual camera in practice? Not so brilliant.
The lens and camera are mounted on a rifle stock, although the trigger part looks like a Colt 45 A1911. It is intended for wildlife photography.
The lens is wide open for focusing and as the user pulls the trigger the clockwork mechanism shuts the lens down and the shutter is released.
Unfortunately both the lens closure and the shutter release are noisy. The lens closure is moving a heavy mechanism. The result is instant camera shake.
What happens if you want to take a picture of a sitting bird?
You pull the trigger, the lens clangs shut, the shutter clicks - and you have a blurred picture of a fast-departing bird, usually its rump.
But I can stand on the metal camera case to peer over a wall...

I had one of those bodies with a few lenses, I enjoyed using it; it might have been a bit clanky, but it never let me down.
Now how about this one ?
I always fancied one of these.
